Agger won't be back so Arsenal will score against Hyypia

I really do admire the support of our "associates" !

Been hit with some injuries really early this season.

Stress fractures to Agger, Alonso, and now Pennant  :(

Stress fractures are usually seen in athletes who increase their level of activity over a short period of time. The increased demand placed on the bone causes the bone to remodel and become stronger in the areas of higher stress. However, if the response of the bone cannot maintain the pace of the repetitive demands, a stress fracture may result.

We changed our fitness regime this season

Intersting. Has that anything perhaps to do with since Pako left or just a general change in regime? We cant do with anymore injuries.

Didnt realise we were at home, we have to go for the win in that case.

The crowd need to get behind the boys, So Leon and the other six match goers do your stuff.

We don't use our wings well anyway and this formation would allow so much space to Gerrard and Babbel to drift wide or come into the middle, I think it could work. We have to release Gerrard more so that he can attack and I want to see Babel more central as well.

that is very silly...

I really wonder how old you are... this is not FIFA08 forum...

and I'll tell you why... you don't play games without width... 4 players in the middle will simply congest your OWN game... arsenal will massacre your full backs from the wings and you're CB's will be sadly exposed as well...

so how old are you again?

in order for this to work u would have to employ the system such as the one currently by milan. where they have 3 in the middle with 2 ams and 1 striker. they use their fullbakcs very well. however we dont have the players to carry it out and the formation suggested is laughable

old enough to spot a patronising pr1ck when I see one. :no
I did highlight that it would be experimental and Mascherano and Alonso would be defensive midfield with Gerrard and Baabel as attacking midfield. Gerrard and Babel could drift wide as and when they liked but could focus on playing down the middle where we are more effective. We are horrible at crosses into the box anyway and in this formation we could really scare the sh1t out of Arsenal with an initial surge of attack, after we get a goal we can revert to more of a 4-4-2 and hit them on the break.
One thing is for certain if we play liek we have been the last few games we will be murdered so I was merely trying to suggest a fresh approach.

And yes it did work for me on Fifa2007  :D  :D

You could have saved yourself a lot of criticism mate by just putting out a standard 4-4-2 but adding the comment that you'd like to see Babel & Gerrard come into the middle a lot, something which they both do anyway.

I don't know if you're deliberately trying to be controversial, but you could have said exactly the same thing in a manner that wouldn't have got an adverse reaction.

Yes mock what you don't understand right, let's always just play 4-4-2 and be fecking predictable so that good opponents can easily pick us apart!!
Obviously the formation suggested is flexible and the 2 attacking midfielders will drift wide when required but it will certainly in my opinion give us much more of an attacking option, and in football I always think that attack is the best option. In this formation Gerrard and Babel could really join in the attacking whilst Alonso and Mascherano do the more traditional midfield job. It would work better with Agger in the team but I think it would work fine anyway, plus how would you defend against it, it would certainly cause confusion to the opposition if you started the match that way, kind of like a blitzkrieg assault.
Or I could be wrong, but I would still like to see it tried at some point.

Sorry but how the hell was my initial post controversial, I didn't attack anyone, just gave an opinion and then people start taking the :censored: and calling me an idiot, that isn't called for. There are so many posts which I think are complete sh1t but I don't mock people for them!

Like i said - sometimes its better not to say anything at all.

Murphy's Law says that Arsenal are due a defeat, I mean, they have been absolutely perfect this season so far, that can't keep going forever, and we certainly need the win more than they do.

I think we might shade it. We need to. Rafa has gotten a lot of criticism these past few weeks, his team needs to come out fighting and lay down a marker.
