David Moyes blamed the bright afternoon sun for Everton's defeat today.

Gerrard wasn't asking for any of that, I repeat HE WAS REMINDING THE REF OF THE F'UCKING RULES, why do you have a problem with that ? .

Hi Woof Woof ,

Whilst I know that John Bull likes to be controversial just for the sake of it sometimes I am agreeing with him on this one .......

We are Liverpool Football Club and NOT Everton !

Doing what Stevie did and appearing to change the referee's mind as a result was disappointing to see and not something that makes me proud to be associted with.

Just because Everton fans will probably spend all season mumping about the penalty that wasn't given and Kuyt's kung fu attempt at a tackle isn't justification for what our Captain did.

When we choose to behave like Everton players of fans we condone what they do.

Leave them to their sour bitterness and rise above the :censored: poor standards that are being set by fans and players alike.

We are Liverpool Football Club and we do things differently here................

Walk on

The way Gerrard waved his hand about insisting it should be red was disgraceful. He should be banned I hate seeing it in europe when they do it, I hate seeing it when we play the so called big 4 when we play them and I hate it when the best players in the world do it on the biggest stage (the world cup ) oh wait wait....I got it wrong...SG didnt wave his hand around...he mentioned the laws of the game to the ref and he realised that SG was right. Bearing in mind im only guessing here that he explained the rules to the ref. All I could see was a movement of mouth and couldnt make out what he was saying. Or would I be right in what your saying and just accept the punishments against our team without standing FOR our team?

Since we don't actually know what Gerrard said to the ref it's difficult to accuse him of unsportsmanlike behavior.

Perhaps he told the ref he was about to shoot?

Perhaps he reminded the ref he was in a goalscoring position?

I don't see a problem with this. He hardly pleaded with Clattenburg, he spoke to him in the passing.

Its been a difficult week as me and the Mrs have negotiated this tricky fixture and it's closeness to the possible (at the time of dsicussions) birth of the baby ! :D

My argument hinged on the fact that at Goodison I was actually closer to the Hospital than she was and could be there before she was if she went into labour. Her argument was mainly hormonal ! :D

It is all very well puffing our chests out and celebrating the win but it was an ugly and sad performance made worse by the INEXPLICABLE subsitution of Gerrard while Sissoko stayed on the pitch. WTF is going on in Raffa's head ?

One of the saddest incidents was the calling for the sending off by Gerrard. It was a penalty and it was a sending off offence but it did NOT need a scouser pointing it out to the ref that the blue needed sending off. That is NOT the scouse way of playing !!

A quick drink in one of the lounges got me the "TIP" to put money on Dozey Jose going to Milan for a couple of years and then coming to Anfield as our new manager. The guy who told me is NO nugget and has been very close to the truth in the past.

!00% away record and still not happy ?

There is no pleasing some people is there?......for fukks sake we won and thoroughly deserved the win...and as for gerrard being subsituted....so what?...its time we saw the real "stevie G"...and not the "stevie Me"!...it was a brave decision by rafa to take him off...and it was proved the right one when lucas shot was handled on the line by neville...no one is bigger than the club...not even gerrard...bravo rafa!.  :nod

Because i could have sworn we beat our local rivals and got 3pts away from home. Some of the comments on this and the match thread are feckin shameful . So what gerrard got subbed , he's not feckin god and if it was a tactical sub it was the right one ,cos WE FECKIN WON TODAY believe it or not. I'm seriously starting to believe that there is some sort of conspiracy to get the manager the boot . Would we all have taken 3pts before the game ,so what's the problem . Why is it impossible for gerrard to be subbed why ,someone tell me. If lucas had of scored would rafa be hailed as some sort of tactical genius again , probably not by the sack rafa brigade. Fine have the opinion that the manager shouldn't have subbed gerrard , but the lad who came on was in the position to win us the pen , if gerrard had of stayed on would we have won anyway ,maybe ,maybe not. We won 2-1 at the end of the day and that's what everyone wanted, THE MANAGER GOT IT RIGHT end of.

I'll bet you weren't thinking like this when we were 1-0 down or at 1-1. Be honest. You weren't.

I'll tell you what i was thinking when we were 0-1 down . How the feck are we 1 down ,because these are sh!te and we should be putting our chances away. When we went 1-1 up after a brilliant run by our captain i was thinking these are here for the taking. When rafa subbed gerrard i thought he must be injured or rafa was happy with the 1-1 and was saving gerrard for Besiktas. When lucas won us the pen i thought well in lad for being in the right position. When kuyt scored(just) i thought feckin right 3pts away from home and against the bitters awell ,made my week. Now at no point did i think rafa you feckin luney ,you've lost the plot , if we don't win this now you should be sacked , fecking ridiculous.

Those thoughts went through my head too. I just had to remind myself that apart from big Sami shanking the ball into the back of our own net, we didn't really do much wrong. The only thing I did think was wrong, though, was obvious: our right side. The bitters probably wouldnt have even been a threat to get that OG if the gap would have been patched up. Either way, we were away from home, didn't play that well but could have scored more goals at least from open play, and still won. Even if Rafa did go a bit nuts. We just can't afford to have those kind of mistakes in big games against the likes of Arsenal. It's slightly worrying is all.

The thing is mate , we won't be set up like that against Arsenal. Torres ,alonso and maybe Agger will be back by then . I've got no worries against the gooners honestly ,aslong as everyone comes back from turkey ok. I'm really confident we can push on now.

True. I never took the injuries of Torres and Alonso into consideration.
