I'll go for a mad 3-2 victory to the pool, with Carra on the score sheet. Berbie could go bananas??

Spurs will be gunning for a win. Anything like last nights performance and we will lose for sure.

Given the fact that we desperately need a win, if Agger or Alonso aren't available I'd be staggered if this isn't either the actual line up, or extremely close to it at the very least.

                                                               Reina

                            Finnan            Carragher            Hyppia          Arbeloa

                            Pennant            Gerrard              Masherano       Riise

                                              Kuyt              Torres.

The only possible variation I can imagine is that he may play Benayoun instead of Riise. Other than that, this WILL be the team. Forget about your fantasy Rafa and all that stuff he aint daft, he knows he's in a bit of a hole and he needs a win. Under those circumstances you go with what you consider to be the best team available, this is his.

i predict liverpool to be trashed like 3-1 or 4-0 or something like that. the players seem to have lost interest and the manager is weird since he lost pako. weird.

i have a bad feeling about this game after our perfomence in the champs league , mayb this is the impact of paco leaving and let see how rafa motivates the team back to its best. Player like kuyt will be crucial against spurs , hoping to see him play with Torres

I think we have to play Torres and Kuyt upfront for this one. Babel on the left and Benayoun on the right. Gerrard and Mascherano in the middle. Finnan Carragher Hyypia and Aurelio at the back

We really need to win this one after the :censored: performance against marseille. This is our priority and we cant fall anymore behind arsenal. I can see this game either being really good and winning like 4-0 or really :censored: and losing 0-4. Every player needs to put a great performance in as all the spurs players will want to prove something to Jol. Come on liverpool

Reina
Finnan
Carragher
Hyypia
Aurelio
Benayoun
Gerrard
Mascherano
Babel
Kuyt
Torres      4-0 Torres(2) Gerrard and Hyypia

I'm not having a pop at you Rich but I love it when people predict the team, the score and ther scorers  :D Which minute do you think they''ll score in, and will they be headers, tap-ins or screamers.
I actually think it'll be a 1-1 draw (no really I do), and I think that Gerrard will score for us. In the tenth minute (and if you really push me I think Berbatov will equalise near the end). In the eighty fourth minute    :D

After lasts nights game i would have thought Rafa will realise the amount of discontent and be forced to play what he thinks is his best team. I'm not going to pick a team because it will be miles away from the team that start and so there is no real point. Another point though is that if Rafa does start with his strongest team that will mean rotating again and so we could get a similar situation where players look as if they have never played together before.

Absolutely spot on and precisely the reason that those expecting a really fluent performance are almost certainly going to be disappointed. It takes a few games for any football team to really get going, so he's going to have to at some stage pick a group of thirteen or fourteen players and select only from them for three or four games.

The worry of course is that Arsenal are well and truly into their stride now, Man Utd are grinding out the wins despite not playing well and even Chelsea had a good win in midweek. Our failure to build in a little buffer gap when we were playing average teams every week may yet come back to haunt us in this difficult lttle spell we've got coming up. Hopefully we select sensibly on Sunday and even though I'll be very surprised if we put in a particularly convincing performance, we can grind out a win. A defeat woulod by no means kill us off, but a defeat followed by say a defeat against Arsenal and a draw against Everton probably would.

I think a spurs win. Rafa was always good at playing Mourinho because it was tactics v tactics kind of game.

He won't know what to do against us. How can he? We don't know what we're doing either  :D

All I know is there is a real buzz around The Lane at the moment after the Villa game. It's like our season has finally started.

Expect the unexpected...

I'm going to change my prediction to 3-2 to us. No way we're going to keep a clean sheet, and we're overdue some goals. After the shocker with Marseille the stronger characters in the squad will be looking to drag the rest of the team up with them. I expect a goal from Gerrard.

im worried because we are struggling to score goals at the mo and spurs have the ability to put hyypia under alot of pressure with their pacey forwards (bent, keane, defoe)

i would take a 1-0 win

but i got a feeling a 2-2 draw

rafa has lost it. i really dont understand why he cares so much about the oppo's strengths when he should be fully utilizing our own.

I dread to think what the line up will be and if it is affected by last night's result. Could this game be a season decider for us? We surely can't afford to fall further behind this early on. The good news is we've a good record against spudz recently and they are playing like a team in the relegation zone (because they are!) That can always be a bad thing, could be a backlash from a rollicking from Jol for the game of two halves on Monday
