Surely you don't begrudge Robbie a goal if we are 5 -0 up Dawson?

I was a Rush fan. Once he left, I didn't support Liverpool anymore. In fact, I'm an imposter on this forum.  :kungfu:

yeah i would. we're liverpool. want a clean sheet. sorry. he can score a hat trick against every other team in the world, but don't like seeing ANYONE score against us... if we were 5-0 up and he scored i wouldnt boo, but i wouldnt cheer... well i might a little, depends... lol

I understand to an extent how maypaxvobiscum feels . In 1971 Stjohn had left Liverpool and gone to play in S.Africa. When Liverpool got to the Cup Final against Arsenal we had a lot of injuries and it was rumoured that Stjohn would be called back to play in the final (he was still registered with us, and had scored in an earlier round). I was devastated when we didn't call him back. I KNOW we would have won if StJohn had played. Even Shankly didn't always get it right!

Ha ha, this discussion has gone a little overboard now me thinks  :D  When I (at the beginning of this thread) wrote, that I wouldn't mind him scoring one or two against us as long as we won, I was just having a bit of a laugh, because I was glad to welcome him back to Anfield. But of course I want us to win as much as possible, I just wouldn't begrudge Fowler grabbing a consolation goal if we were already safe at hence point in the game. Anyway, there should be no mistaking: of course Liverpool is above Fowler as the club is above every other single person coming and going through the years. (except Diouf naturally, he is above everything and everyone...  :p )

Theres nothing wrong with Maypaxvobiscum saying he was a fowler fan first, does it really matter what the reason was that he started to support Liverpool, he supports them now and thats all that matters ?

For what it is worth I also support them but couldn't care less if he got a hat trick and knocked us out of the tin pot cup !

I'm with Dawson, Liverpool first, second and third....i don't like conceding against anyone, he can go on and score 40 goals in the Championship, but against us, no way.

I wasn't on here when Robbies book came out, but anyone know if there was there a thread? Anyhow when i had read it, personally i lost a fair bit of respect for him.

Why mate ? I read Robbies book and thought it was great.Gerrards..... I could understand anyone getting a bit upset with that one.

I thought there were too many excuses and contradictions. IMHO there were a couple of seasons where we had teams capable of winning the title under Evans, and in the book Robbie explained that we weren't good enough, and that the mancs were just better, but all the information about the goings on at the club, basically no one listened to Evans, showed me that the players spent a lot of the time fcking about and being thoroughly unprofessional.

He tried to make out that Evans was a task master contrary to popular belief, but what was written proved otherwise. Personally i felt as though he came across a little unprofessional, even in his preparation and fitness.

I still think he was a fantastic player, and am grateful for all the goals, but think that there could have been a lot more had he been more committed.

Thanks for the link Saint.
