Strong blows to the ankle but he continued playing, thinks he'll be alright for Sunday, consecutive games in the U20 World Cup, in Canada FFS!!! (checks the atlas and realises it's even further away than Albania) ???  ???

Feck me they'll ruin the kid. Pointless buying him in the window, he'll need three months rest after all that  :D

Could of been worse, mate...he could have spent the summer in New Zealand!  :p  :D

Saint, as I've said before, he looked the business this summer.  Granted it was against some rather raw defenders at times but he's got great movement, vision and is trickier than a box of frogs.  I think he's maturing into a very fine creative striker and would be a fantastic addition but I'm sure AM would not be best pleased if we came knocking again (maybe they'd take Kewell this time?)... :D

I would love to have Aguero at liverpool. Class striker, can play wing too. Plus me and him have the same birthday :D

It looks to me like Rafa wants a pressing team that can harrass the pass their way to a quick attack and for that we dont neccessarily need creative players just quick fit footballers who can pass and move

thats all well and good taff but when teams figure us out and we need to pull something out of the hat we'll NEED the creativity to create more

Then as against Birmingham we have the big lads up front.  The fact that they didnt play well in ONE game doesnt mean we need to search the globe for someone like Garcia.

not saying that, but its always nice to have some ammo that can do something different. we got yossi who can do it, stevie can do it, a fair few can, btu none have been lately in the premiership. all im saying is we need somedthing different for when plan a isnt working.

I don't know about a "pressing team", it will soon become depressing if Rafa rests Torres more than necessary. I read this morning that he is saving Torres for the CL final or end of season title decider, we might be out of contention if he plays Torres in the cups and not so much in the league
