I feel sorry for the lad.

It doesn't help that there's this weird misconception that he's one of the club's top earners at £60k+ per week, which seems to stir up all the more discontentment with the guy.

He's signed on with us at £35k per week, so is probably around £40k now. Not peanuts, but far from enormous by Prem standards.

Give him until January to get back and prove he has a part to play. If we all think we can do without him by then, by all means lets talk about shipping him out. He showed in the little we saw of him at the back end of last season that he's still an exceptional talent, so there's no question that he's still good enough if he ever makes a friend of fitness.

Not being funny though, but in the meantime I think he and Rafa should have a chat about retiring from international football. He's constantly being injured on international duty, and it's killing his career.

Darren Anderton always had the knack of being fit for country and not club, Kewells the same. Heres one, stop giving harry a line that he has a future at anfield and let his national team give him a contract and pay his wages.

So you've seen his contract?

£35-£40k was quoted several times around the time he signed, and I've heard it from a source who had the £35k figure verified by Bernie Mandic, who he interviewed a couple of years back.

'Sources' do love to claim to know it all.

This just in:

Harry Kewell has been pulling more than his groin or hamstrings. Apparantly, he's been spotted down the dole signing on, and collecting DLA cheques.

Harry has stated that this is a lie, and that he has many sick notes to prove it.

I am hoping to see Harry back on Tuesday night for at least 45 mins. I think the last few games have shown we could use him. I may be clutching at straws but a fit Kewell could just make the difference in games like yesterday. Last chance saloon for him now though, bad luck or not, any more injuries and he has to go.  I just hope he doesn't get a bad back from carrying the team for the rest of the season :D

I'm surprised an aussie always out through injury isn't given more grief, and poor 'arry if he is ONLY on £35k a week - try getting that from the government as SSP. £35k a year for doing FA would be very nice, £35k a week is taking the P.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
