lol joke
but seriously now, if we want to win the league rafa needs to understand we need to be consistant and make very little changes prior to each match. if you have 11 best players avalable for selection then play them!

i think your kinda of robbing my post from a few pages back there chum

90 minutes to break down a team as poor as Birmingham should have been twice as much time as we needed.

Theres only one positive, we didnt get beaten today, but that should NOT be the only positive against opposition like that.

As said before I'm dreading when our fixture table gets harder.

At the end of the day it goes dark too!! :rasp

I am not sure what you call a chance but I only saw about 4 or 5, admittedly my stream was down for most of the second half but even so.......

There were four or five very good chances, but overall there were nineteen or so attempts on goal. It was the poor conversion rates and attempts which cost us today, not Rafa and his selection.

The silimar problem happened for most of our last season. Difference is at that time we can make an excuse that we didn't have enough qualified players. But look at our squard list now, does it really has nothing to do with Rafa and his selection?

Quaresma and Mancini would have made us a team capable of winning the league.

Babel and Benayoun I'm afraid are not good enough for such a feat. Babel perhaps in the future, but Benayoun is only a back up player. But there is no quality player in his position for him to back up.

With that being said, this is a better start than we've made in several years. We all asked for one,we got it but we're four points behind the current leaders who have a game in hand.

The debate should not be whether or not we would have won with Torres, but to why we can't score without him when the vast majority of our players are part of our strongest line up.

There is never a time to make excuses; excuses are for people who are mentally weak. The players which played today are and were more than capable of collecting the three points.

The finishing let the team down today, that’s all, and on a different day the team could have probably won. Next week will be the ultimate test of character and resolve.

It will be interesting to see how the players to react to a disappointing result.

We must give Birmingham the praise they deserve for clearly understanding their strengths and limitations. They came looking for a draw; no pretenses! They stedfastly had 10 men behind the ball and in their last third...

In situations like this u need high athleticism in speed and movement to avoid technical leftovers. In MF, partly for Gerrard's tepid play, there is not nearly enough invention, with the long balls simply signifying our inability to get it right in the middle.
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Hello, i am Laércio (new here), i am portuguese, but i love very very much the Liverpool.

I watch all games, and i watched today.

I didn´t liked, the team is very disorganized in the attack, there is very pass failed. The defense is very efficient, but the attack not.

I hope that we can win the next games and that we can find the premiership in a good place.

Exactly the same situation that in the last season. Right, the finishing has cost us, but since this has been a long suffering to us, and now with more capable players brought in for us this season, yet this problem still cost, doesn't that mean at least our manager haven't get his job done quite right enough to slove it? A manager's job is not only to pick up 11 men to start each game, but also to spot the problems his team got and solve it and improve their performance, right?

It’s hardly a problem is it? Liverpool is just going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment, it will happen to every team. Before last week Liverpool had been scoring for fun in most matches, a 4-0 win at Toulouse, a 6-0 win at Derby.

If last season’s wastefulness in front of goal becomes a consistent problem over the coming months, then I am sure Rafa will sit down and analyse his options. It would be far too premature of Rafa to do so at this current moment in time and what’s to say Liverpool won’t start scoring next week?

There isn’t a problem currently, the only problem is people on here and (I’d imagine elsewhere) displaying melodramatic behaviour.

Benayoun is proven Premiership class player.

Babel is young and naive.

Mancini and Quaresma - there is no way you can know that they would ever make it in the Premiership so thats a pretty brave statement.
