On the topic, I have to say that Arsenal are looking superb, and I think the underestimation of them could help them in the long run. They're certainly the best footballing side in the Country, and unless they get some injuries and/or suspensions, I get the feeling we will just be chasing shadows against them.

5-0 win for Arsenal today.

As I was saying, this type of starts gives you momentum. Even after an international break they've come out strong.

They will win the title as far as I'm concerned, or at least finish in the top three.

Arsenal are really pressing on this season, I never expected it from Arsenal, but it seems the Arsenal players have something extra this season and it’s paying dividends.

I’m not sure if they will win the Premiership this season, the African Cup of Nations and a possible first loss will be small indicators.

The Premiership seems to be wide open for the top four this season. I wouldn’t like to call it, but something tells me Chelsea and MU will make a surge forward sooner or later.

Good post AB, and a good thread.

BTW I agree with you AB, I must confess during the summer I couldnt see Arsenal being a candidate for Premiership winners. I didnt rule them out completely but thought they'd be the least expected from the top four to win it. But many people had ruled them out completely, but I dont think you can do that with the top four sides these days.

The media attention hasnt quite focused on Arsenal this year as in years gone by, but Wenger and his men are quietly making positive strides. He does have a great team of kids down at the Emirates and they do play some lovely stuff. Dark horses ? Definately.

Ourselves (LFC) have been hyped up especially after the signing of Torres and attention is on us this year to produce. I hope we can. But Arsenal I dont think will have the pressure we will to do it.

Their start resembles United's start last year. United who were not expected to win the title and were written off, did what most did not expect.

Arsenal, I feel are going in same direction.

Arsenal kind of look better than the sum of their parts for me. They have good individuals, don't get me wrong, but they just seem to click pretty effortlessly. You can see partnerships all over the pitch, and there's a flow to their game that we've only hinted at this season.

I must admit I discounted them before the season started, and thought Spurs were a shoo-in for 4th. What I've seen so far makes me think I couldn't have been more wrong.
