Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

His feeling is that they'll give Jol the elbow but I can't help thinking if they do that he's been a bit unlucky. I think they've finished in fifth in both of the last two seasons and realistically, (though it is quite hard to find a realistic Spurs fan sometimes) that's about as good as they can hope to do. To break the big four up takes either a huge financial investment or the ability to win nearly every game 1-0 (a la Everton). I think by and large Jol has bought pretty well with Berbatov being the obvious stand out buy. This season Bale looks like he'll make a really good player and looks cheap to me at 10 million, while the young French centre-half whose name completely escapes me looks like he'll make a footballer too.

Ultimately though, it may well be the continuing achievement up the Seven Sisters Road which does for the Dutchman. Wenger looks to me to be in the process of building yet another good team, and say what you like about the winging ponce but they always play some really lovely stuff as well. I only got the highlights of the derby game over the weekend but I can only assume that when Jol said that Spurs problem was they didn't take their chances, he must have been getting mixed up with another match. From the little bit I saw, Arsenal could have had about ten and there really was a bit of a gulf between an over-rotated Tottenham who lacked confidence and a resurgent Arsenal.

If he were to keep his job for a few more games, I'd advise him to drop Paul Robinson. Surely no International goalkeeper has ever got beaten from distance anywhere near as often as the ex-Leeds man, and his lack of agility makes me really count our blessings that we've got Reina between the sticks.

I was at the derby, we had just as many chances as Arsenal, we just didn't take them. Other than that it was a pretty even game. However, they did seem to find it easy to break us down.

Your right about Wenger though, he is definitley building another great side. There is no doubting his superior managerial skills. All we can hope is that their board mess everything up for them.

However, regarding Jol, the only person I would swap him for is Ramos. If Ramos went to Chelsea instead though, I wouldn't want Mourinho's boring style of football to come to The Lane (which there has been talk of). He actually really likes us and our support.

Neither do we do rotation, we just had loads of injuries!

:D There's that other one whose words are a bit sketchy in my head,

My old man, said be an Arsenal fan, I said "feck off, b0ll0cks you old c***", we took the West Stand with the Chelsea in it, we took the North bank with the Arsenal in it, we 'ammered the 'ammers, with ammers and spanners. We chased the Millwall down the Old Kent Road. You can't catch a Gunner 'cos everyone's a runner and you can't find your way 'Ome.

Apologies for the Dick Van Dyke cockney accent and the probably dodgy and wrong words. When I first moved to Laandon, I used to run a  bookies for William Hills and I worked with a smashing lad called Tony who used to regale us all with his Tottenham tales. Ah them were the days.     :eyebrow

Its all fun at the end of the day

What do your lot think about Jol now, will he still be there at the end of the season.  I think its a bit of an ask to demand a top four finish and all the clubs received TV money whic is essentially the bulk of Spurs' investment this season.
