I don't think "Congrats" is quite the word I'd use as any former moderator will tell you! :laugh:

Its more of a case of "Thanks" and "Good luck". Believe me, its a chore rather than a privilege.

All things said I think the forum has a good team behind it now.

In all seriousness I think the forum did need a few extra moderators. Hope it works out for the best.

I'm on another forum and I've lost count how many moderators it has but somehow it really works. That forum (computer hardware/games forum) has an almost fascist policy on spammers, trolls, flamers etc. By that forum's standards probably only Big Mick and maybe Saint would survive the guilotine over here. :laugh:

So we've seen Leonmc putting some order when we got repetitive and abit harsh between posters. Good job.

We've seen Badbob locking a poll, with a concise "locked" (I preffered the Bigmick-esques explanations of keys sent to I don't know where, but still not bad).

Red37 is recovering from injury, but gathered strenght to say he'll be here soon.

Woof keeps faithful to his word and advocates for a loose moderation (I missed any obvious actions like locks), but he'll protect nights from 5 € knives wielded by wopdongs and will be useful sooner rather than later.

Not a bad job so far. I think it's a variated team, covers all the timetable, and most importantly allows Jonnymac a good sun tanning in the Algarve. I think they'll be a good team of mods, and that the problem is sorted out.

I learnt my politeness in forums in heavily moderated english computer forums. A Linux forum mate is like Vietnam, you have to browse all the threads in 14 years and make sure the question was not raised or...

BTW I agree what you say about it's more like a thanks rather than a congrats. That's why I didn't congratulate them. The only reason I can see to congratulate them is that the board appointed them and the users seem to be happy about their appointment. Other than that, it's a service they do.

But you're right , I've always championed and celebrated the amount of leeway members have been given in this forum , would be hypocritical of me to "charge" them because they had a bit of a rant.

We've all been there.

I'm just waiting for the Wopdongs.

I did say elsewhere congratulations, but I'll make it more official I suppose in here.

Good choice of Mods IMHO, their ALL going to make this place run a lot smoothly I reckon, so congrats goes out to Red 37, Woof, Bobby and Leon who seems like a bit of a geezer to me now.
