Thanks for the link StMick, Masherano sounds a very quiet and modest player. I bet Riise loves the "Ginger" nickname  :D

Hes very modest and humble - a true team player imo and a right character for this club. It seems hes already a firm fans favourate.

PS Does anyone else find it wierd that he only has 3 players in his phone? I would have thought he socialises with all the lads? :D

Xabi just got sent off against iceland.  It looks on the video that ref may have been wrong, but you'll all have to check it out on youtube or something later. :(

That was a clear stomp from Xabi, looked like he might have been too tangled up with the guy to avoid it but if I was a ref I would have sent him off.

spain look like they've had no luck with the ref tho.  David Villas goal was offside, and fair enough on the xabi call, i only saw a replay and it didn't really explain events leading up to stomp real well.  Pity, cos since he's off spain just look a little open without him in DM.  The weather seems right for the old long ball game, probably doesn't suit spain.

No not really, I still think Alonso is a more complete player, but I don't have problems to admit that in *current* form Mascherano must play before Alonso.

Alonso for me. His array of passing and can always chip in with some goals is a better choice to have. Mascheranho is a good player, but I still think Alonso is a better option for us as his ability to spray the ball allows Gerrard to play further forward. With Maschernaho, Gerrard has to try and dictate the play from his own half.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.
