The 'we're not english, we're scouse' stuff - Bit sad really

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Abuse United players when they play for United and cheer them when they play for England... Well professional football players do it all the time, just ask Gerrard, Owen even JC (he does not want to play internationals anymore but he tried his whole career), and all other "scouse" players that were good enough to play for England. None of them said they were scouse not English. In the late 70's almost the whole of the English team played for Liverpool.

Most of this is cr@p because if England won the World Cup (mind you that seems unlikely :D  ) all of Liverpool would celebrate dispite what many say now. I am sure everyone who remembers celebrated in '66 and there were a few united players in that team.

I would rather Liverpool win a throw in than England win the World Cup.

Crouch cus he was ugly ?

Bentley cus he was tired ?

English fans = gobsh.ites - FACT

Very very sad attitude this man puts across!

To say that all England fans are gobs.hites is pathetic and in my mind more pathetic than a man being proud of his country.
There is no problem with any scouser being proud of their roots and proud of the city...they have a right to be.Its a great place.

Just as well 99% of the people have more brains than people like Leon or Liverpool would be a horrible place to come to.

Liverpool now is a better place than it ever was, becoming more cosmopolitan and a better place in general!

As for Leons patronising effort of an arguement towards 'ooters'....What a childish shallow weight this carries!

If he is so concerned about 'ooters'..Why not tell our American friends to take their money back?Surely they are more ooter than someone who travels from Inverness or Dublin!

Great idea...fu,ck off all ooters and England supporters...and take Torres and Babel back ...we dont need ooter money in Liverpool!

IDIOT...If your brains were in your belly you may have something to argue with, how can you support a team full of ooters and complain about them at the same time?

People go on about how they can't believe certain members of this Forum don't support England. Look at the way those "SUPPORTERS" and i use it in the loosest of terms, behave towards their own team and manager.

They should also show some respect to national anthems of other countries, could you imagine the uproar if that happened to the National Anthem at an away game?

There will always be fans who jeer the manager and players after a loss or a baron spell of results. I believe Liverpool fans jeered Houllier’s team a few times in his last few seasons in charge.

It gets highly irritating when this countries finest crop of players of its entire history and they play with no pride and passion and lose to Croatia and then draw against Israel.

Again, you single out England fans for doing something that every NT supporters have done at some point in the past.

I’d hardly call that the definition of disgraceful when sections of Spain’s fans use monkey chants to racially abuse black players and when club supporters mock the dead of football related disasters and the organised football firms which exist within club football.
