get fuct! The reason I dont post often is because of people like you.

what have i done thats so offended you into not posting on here - please explain  :(

Not you especially, I tend to stay away from posting on forums like these because a view can be shot down and I tend to stay away from that. Any arguments or heated debates should be done in person in my opinion. Although I suppose its the internet and we do get alot of different nationalities putting in there view. Horses for courses i suppose.

But I do resent the idea that because I dont post on a regular basis that I do not use this forum as a valuable resource for the pub and the match. :kungfu:

I think this is about the millionth thread about Stu the Red and whether or not he should come back and post.

He's an intelligent lad when it comes to football. No one doubts that but he has a serious problem with people who don't agree with every word he says. He won't last a day without hurling abuse at someone who disagrees with him.

I've had thorough discussions with plenty of people who see things differently in football than me, but never have I come across as an annoying git as Stu when it comes to difference of opinions.

I hope we all help the job of the next mod whoever he is.

For f'ucks sake , love the way some people appreciate Big Micks contribution so much that instead of asking him to reconsider they're already busy burying the body .

We may need one or two extra mods , what we don't need is the most respected and active one to resign.

Burying the body? no mate, he's not dead, in fact, he's probably doing what he really wanted to do!! as far as I can remember he was ready to resign for quite a while.

I don't think Bigmick feels too comfortable talking and moderating spats instead of making descriptions of players and sensible footie posts. The way I see it he's going to live better now.

Of course I feel without his moderation this forum is worse and I'd like him to be mod forever, but asking him to be a mod if he doesn't feel like to do the job now would be selfish of me.

It was a pleasure to work with the lot of them, actually.

I resigned because I got tired of peasants that said they didn't give a fúck about modship but were present in every thread that discussed about the decission taken by mods and pointing out them what they should do. As I've said Bigmick is probably going to enjoy the forum more now.

Mick, for what it's worth, you're an excellent mod.

But starting this thread is probably ill advised. If you feel that the forum is poorer without Stu, then trying to get a general consensus is probably not the best way to go about it. He's alienated and offended too many people that such a "poll" would have inevitably polarised the forum between those who don't mind having him back and those who do. I've never got into it with Stu but he's pi$$ed off way too many people with his abusive posting style. It would probably have been a better move to discuss it with the other mods and come to a decision, either way, then. After all, the forum has entrusted you guys with the responsibility to make the right decisions for the good of the forum's health. For most people (there'll always be some who'll disagree... can't please everyone), that decision would have been allright as long as it was well reasoned. My 2p worth at any rate.

But since you asked for thoughts, then these are mine....

1. Stu should not be let back in. For all his footballing knowledge, he's a disruptive influence on the forum and is often the root cause for flame wars and locked threads. After all he's already been banned 6 times.... and the last time he was allowed back on (with a strict best behaviour proviso), he got himself banned again and quite frankly became personally abusive towards some members and that is just simply NOT on. How many more chances does he need? If you had a brilliant employee but has been repeatedly charged for verbal harrassment towards co-workers, would you allow that to continue? I think, in Stu's case, he's had more than his fair share of "bites at the cherry"...

2. As far as turning your badge in on being a mod, I sincerely hope you reconsider. You're an excellent mod and the forum would be poorer off without your calming influence. If however, you are getting tired of the constant baby sitting that the forum appears to need at times and are no longer enjoying your stint, then I can fully understand and support your decision.

3. In my opinion, the forum does not need a replacement mod. It needs maybe a couple more mods to help lighten the workload for the rest of you. FWIW, I think Leon, JBG and peewee would make excellent mods.

Bah, this thread is like Groundhog Day, I'm sure if Roberts was still here he'd spam the forum by digging out old threads from 2004 by people asking whether Stu should be let back. He's been banned/suspended countless times before, it's Stu's problem if he cannot abide by a few simple rules.

I have no agenda against Stu and I think he knows it but this forum is quite lax in its rules on these kind of things and still Stu can't stick to a few basic rules, so its pretty much "tough titty" if you ask me.

For the record Stu has apoligised and I am grateful he has, but I cant be bothered anymore with argueing with him, I was sick and tired of it, sick of being laughed at and ridiculed by him you havent got a clue, you know feck all etc etc and the personal insults.

Its gone on far to long He's been banned 3 times since our first spat but it started again, then again, then again and it will happen again.

This is not my forum I dont own it but I also cannot be @rsed arguing with him or anyone else anymore, Im to old for that bull, I come on here to talk about Liverpool and have a bullsh.it in gen chat and to take my mind off more serious things that go on in my life.

Ive got enough problems as it is at the moment I dont want more on a footie forum which I enjoy coming on.

My guess is Mick put the feelers out to test the water fair enough and I seriously hope he is not considering giving up his Modship over banning someone.

Our Mick is a gent and one of the reasons he got voted in, in the first place, plus he looks like Mel Gibson

p.s. JBG you need to join the Modship again the Real World just hasnt been the same since all its crew have jumped ship.
