Keith Hackett earlier was talking about "big decisions" being made correctly, and cause Style didn't he's sitting off for a week. I take it that "big decision" only really means "big decisions in games between the top4" then.

The worst thing about this is that it puts even more pressure on referees in games involving Liverpool from now on. You'll will benefit from other refs who will be scared to get this sort of abuse and criticism and who will be afraid to award anything against them.

Sorry but both sets of players were all over him yesterday, Chelsea players even grabbed him, but the behaviour of top sides is ignored again and the ref gets the blame - which he only part deserves.

I knew I smelt sh*t. You still here, then?

How the f*ck will be benifit in future because refs will be afraid? You clearly have had your head up your brown for the past 10 years or more regarding this kind of thing in the Prem. Year after year we get this kind of sh*t go against us. There has been numerous occasions where we have played these c*nts at home in the league and has wild decisions not given or have gone against us. A few handballs in their area springs to mind, clear as day. Not given. It's just the same sh*t only in a different season. If anything, we've been on the wrong end of the stick as far as decisions are concerend between the top 4. United have been getting away with ludicrous things for well over 10 years now. Sure, they;ve only gotten away with probably the most rediculous decision in the history of the EPL (and probably world football) when Roy Carroll clawed that ball from all of 3 yards behind the goal line at OT 2 seasons ago. You will never see any other club get away with stuff like that, and that was only the tip of the iceberg. Stop talking cack and jog on already.

I just read about the connection between styles and the roman empire....

This just about concludes for me that styles "has been bought"....

Taking the fact the he is a millionaire and all, the wages fine isn't gonna hurt him. He should be suspended from refereeing for 1 season and when that is done, he should start over by refereeing
at the lower leagues.

And also, he shouldn't ref chelsea's games anymore (due to the link between him and roman)....

the problem is that he then can not referee a number of games that even chelsea are not playing in, he cant ref games of contenders, or he cant ref games with teams due to play chelsea in the next three games or he is liable to red card their start player so he is suspended when they play chelsea etc etc etc.

the best thing would be for him to be demoted to the lower leagues

I was just saying yesterday actually too some of the lads that, if i was president of FIFA (not going to happen) i wouuld construct a rule saying the domestic governing body, i.e The FA/Premierleague in England, should be able to look at a decision, if it was wrong and it cost a team points it should be able to make the decision right and award points to the team. For example, a wrong penalty decision either way... and ball over the line not given, this would stop goal line technology wasting time during a game. It happens in motor racing and some other sports, they change the result so why not football?!?

Moving on....
He's got a decision blatently wrong and hasn't had the balls to come out and admit it! I read on .tv that he was apologising like hackett did but he wants to do it in person!

When he returns to Anfield...he'd better be prepared for some stick!

Going back and changing results and decisions just opens up a whole can of worms that will damage football to no end.
In some cases in F1 these retrospective judgements are correct but it still doesn't stop the sport being devalued and at times it has become farcical. Fans have been going home from races to find that the whole result they've just paid to see unfold has been changed by a couple of people sat looking at a TV screen.
The teams would be appealing constantly about fouls going against them or goals not crossing the line that actually did and come the end of the season nobody would know who was on what points and who had beaten who.

For me there are three solutions to these sorts of problems:

1. Bring in the goal line technology that sets off a buzzer or a light when the ball crosses the line.

2. The 4th official to have instant access to replays of contentious decisions on the sideline. 4th official would be able to see replays during the time the players are all arguing with the referee and then give the ref the correct decision.

3. Have younger, fitter and better consistently trained referees in the leagues. A system would be introduced were they would be consistantly trained and assessed on their match performances and they have something like a 3 strikes and your out system.
Sunday wasn't the first fuck up by Styles and with the technology working side by side with the refs there should be less outcomes like sunday's. This would mean that should a ref still make complete balls ups like Styles then they are at the very least demoted down the leagues and face a period of re-training.
