LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA - Early build-up - looking good for us

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I'm still well annoyed after that game. After all that went on in the second half, why were only 4 minute added? They're supposed to add 30 secs for a substitution - there were 4 substitutions which gives 2 mins. Then there was the pen that should not be and ensuing celebrations. Then there was the free kick debacle when Essien got his second booking. Then, about five or six minutes from the end of normal time, Mikel stopped play for a good few minute because he was acting like a tart. And what about Drogba kicking the ball away??
4 minutes was an absolute joke when you take everything into consideration.

Now a little bit calm down after all rage towards the ref and about our stolen points, I recalled a positive moment about this game, i.e. Crouch went on for Riise at 83', a forward for a midfield. No matter how the effect of this substitute, just glad to read the signal from our manager: we would be more attacking. More aggressive, more 3-point-intended instead of defending for a safe 1 point, no matter who our opponent is. That's what we mighty Reds should be! And with that great spirit, I'm really confident we can challenge for the title this season!

Rob Styles is an absolute idiot! He totally ruined the game with his :censored: penalty decision. An inquest should be set up asap and he should be sacked! Simply appalling! We were cruising to the 3 pts when this idiot spoilt the party. Atrocious!!!

Apart from the idiotic incident, we were good and stopped Chelski from playing their usual game. This was supposed to be remembered as the Torres show but alas.....:(  Anyway, what a goal! His change of pace was simply breathtaking - one word - WORLD CLASS! Gerrard was immense as usual but I think Rafa made a mistake by replacing Pennant With Babel. Riise should have been taken off. He's sticking out like a sore thumb with his one-dimensional, one-directional play and does he know how to cross at all or not?! Babel should have started on the left flank and together with Pennant, would have tortured their fullbacks all day long! Bad decision by Rafa IMHO.

Totally agree with that, Babel coming on nearly paid of when he had that shot, the power in that was unbelievable.
I was surprised yossi wasn't in the team as he could have been a replacement for pennant with Babel going on the left.

But it was good to see rafa playing with 3 strikers at the end to try and get the win instead of putting masha on to protect the point.

I walked away from the ground last night thinking we were robbed but was still smiling with the fact of how we played, and specially Torres I know its only 2 games in but what a players he look, he made Terry look average.  :rasp

It wasnt Terry who marked Torres the goal Torres scored. It was Ben Haim. Other than that, Torres didnt really bully an unfit Terry.
Agree with Babel. He looks very exciting. So much power on the shot.

Yes I know it was Ben Haim he was against when he scored the goal, but through the match he was giving Terry a hard time by backing into him pushing him round, all the stuff Terry would normally do to other strikers.

Did you see it when Torres was on the floor and Terry come over to him and started shouting stuff at him and Torres just give him 2 gentle slaps on his face and walked away - class  :D

YOu can see that stupid ref has two sets of rules. One for us and one for the Cheatski. Aside from the fecking penalty, just look at the 10 yards suppose to be given during set pieces. The stupid ref let the CHeatski stay only about 8 yards from the kick. While when reverse, we were made to stay like 11 or 12 yards from the kick. Is he being paid off by them or what. He fu(king missed so many incident. Gerrard was in the clear to shot but the fu(king malouda step on his heel deliberately with no fault. Even the linesman sucks big time. How could such a high profile league hire some amatuer ref like this. The standard of the refereeing was shocking to say at least. I'm really so :censored: as the cheat stole the points from us. I think we should protest and never have him to do any of our games. Just look at his face, he was so scared and cracked under pressure. Just look :censored: and uncertain. Didn't know what he was doing. Should have sent Essein off but instead gave the Yellow to Terry instead. The EPL must do something as the low standard of refereeing is really destroying the game. Really :censored: me off .....WTF.

I slightly disagree.

I thought Terry was totally unsettled by Torres. Maybe it was not in the physical bulling sence but i do think as someone else said Torres Is very very cunning and there had been plenty of verbal between the two all game. As soon as Torres had his say along side Terry he simply moved and got along side that shower of :censored: Ben H.

I would also like to add if that is the display of an England Captain then Mclaren should seriously consider if an England captain should be conducting himself on the field of play in that manner.

In short
TERRY
WAS A DISGRACE UNDER HIS ENGLAND CAPTAIN BANNER.

IN TORRES I FEEL WE HAVE FOUND A GENIUINE WORLD CLASS PERFORMER, well done lad.
