"Good evening and welcome to Crimewatch. Now...firstly a truly shocking crime...it involved the most diabolical of all illegal acts....one that can barely be described without turning the stomachs of civilised men....yes....I am speaking about flag theft. Our reconstruction is too upsetting to broadcast and has been banned by the ITC, so we can only say that the missing flags looks like this:

"And according to police sources, these are the chief suspects:

Please read this thread and the other few threads that have run through this topic in detail, then I think you might re-assess your opinions.

i already have done - im entitled to my opinion still. there is no use hiding the fact and try to cover things up - we need to face facts - our fans need to behave and be educated on how to act

Some trouble regarding tickets doesn't equate to them being the worst in Europe though.

Fans have stabbed others, murdered policemen, formed human swastikas and made racist monkey chants towards black players.

All I would say are worse.

If you read ALL the threads on this issue, you would not be as naive to come out with comments like "i still think some of us are amungst some of the worst fans in europe though".

our own fans did steal tickets from other elderly lpool fans in athens - its so bad.

we need to try and brush off this "vermin" tag that follows us everywhere.

im a proud fan of my football club

That's an outrageous thing to say shadders.

If they'd just given us enough tickets, none of this would have happened.

It's a disgrace and William "Gaylord" should be made resign

maybe if they had sold us more tickets it would have saved all this terrible media covergae and maybe we would have not been named as the worst fans in europe - it was the icing on the cake for Uefa but we were so hard done too. my apologies

Am I the only person who actually thinks that most of the "ticket robbing" was actually a result of the massive number of touts out there wanting to make a quick penny?

I'm sorry, but I flatly refuse to believe that Liverpool fans en masse could do such things.

Organised crime on a smaller scale Lando. Could well be right, theives playing away from home to take advantage of a passionate occaison when they're willing to pay over the odds.  The local rozers should have been better prepared.

I've thought that from the off. A ticket may be precious to the fans but it is the livelihood of scummy touts who I hear sell them for around £3000.

As for behaviour when fans were turned back, imagine this. You are a legitimate fan with a real ticket and some policemen force you away from the turnstiles because you might not have a ticket. Would you simply accept it and not go to the match? Why do police not simply organise fans into an orderly queue and check who has and hasn't got tickets? They can kick the sh1t out of ny fans who refuse to cooperate, those who have tickets can then get in and see the game. If they were properly organised then problems wouldn't happen, perhaps they should take them to your average rival match in England and see how the local police manage the situation. You'll get the odd tw@t or two looking for trouble, but if our fans were half as bad as UEFA are try to portray us there'd be riots and dead police every weekend.

And if we're so bad how come there was no similar reports when the sides met in 2005? Apparently we're only thieving scousers every other European Cup final.

And worst fans/country for violence/behaviour has to be Italy/Roma. This may not contain a comprehensive list like they had on FF some time back, but Italian football hits OUR headlines more than we do for the wrong reasons :

http://stateofthegame.co.uk/2006....ind-eye

The list on FF was a lot more recent, often involving their heavy handed police as well. They generally baton charge away fans so all the home fans have to do is provoke and watch while eating their popcorn as the away fans get the cr ap beaten out of them.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

There are two things which stick in my mind from then. Firstly, why did so many fans go without tickets? You don't have to be there to be part of the teams success, Milan fans accepted it. And don't say  Liverpool have more numerous and committed fans than AC Milan because it doesn't wash. It was this in the first instance which caused trouble - and I think Liverpool fans have to take responsibility for it. And you can't complain about ticket allocation when you get all that nice CL money from the sponsors who had the rest of the seats (though there are obvious problems with that arrangement).

Secondly, was this report the most obvious, tactless attempt at point scoring in the Uefa's long sullied history of ineptitude? Probably.

Thats very very Naive Lando, to honestly believe that.

I know sombody who went there and he witnessed it with his own eyes, not all Liverpool fans are Angels mate face it.

Granted the organisation was a shambles on the Greek officials and Uefa's part, but that doesnt excuse the in-excusable from the fans.
