its finished. porto won the tournament.

to be honest i was glad to see gerrard stick up for his teammate like that...he saw agger get pushed in the face by that pr1ck, and then went for him. first time ive seen gerrard do that in a long time, but obviously wouldn't want him to take it up as a habit...

the game was a good preview to those games where the opposition just sit back, which was surprising considering they were at home....gerrard's goal was well taken, but we couldnt string a good set of passes just before the equalizer which was a bit worrying. but it was just a friendly, and the formation was changing with every substitution made so id give us the benefit of the doubt.
the penalty was never a penalty, and we should have actually won cos Kuyt's shot was clearly over the line......interesting game, mainly because of the last 5 minutes....roll on villa.

F**kin shambles of a game. Not just for the oppositions life threatening injuries, the poor officiating - but OUR tactics. 'Cluelessly Cr@p' is two words im happy to remember this experience by. Especially the second half.

Gerrard, Reina, Alonso and the industry of Kuyt/Voronin/Pennant are not going to be nearly enough.

As for the defence.....wtf has happened there!

man if kaka or messi would have scored that goal would have been one of the best goals ever cos gerrard scores it , its ok :suspect:

was pure class goal.

And the set up right at end will start it hink babbel on left torees and kuyt up front and benny on right.

but man our defence looks very shaky atm i hope that improves soon very soon.

dissapointing really , it's shocking that we are lacking ideas up front and from the middle but yossi might be a solution for this ,almost half the team was having a bad game .Did not see torres when he was sub in . Drenthe was good , alwayz causing problem and i agree with ciggy he's a :censored:

cheat , either way in the end our boys did not seem to take this game seriously at all.

What a shit tornament, one thing, we didn't play porto so where the fuck is the justification there. Why did they win the trophy, second thing, that fucking drenche needs a fuckin beating. We won't be coming here during pre season in a hurry in the future
