Just a case of stating the obvious if you ask me.

More sensationalist b#llocks from the media.

For pittys sake give the guy a break he has a opinon and it is a well founded one we are still behind the Mancs and Chelsie not only on the pitch but off it as well some reds need to rearlize that. We have moved forward but so have they. But The Mancs can't have a season like they did last year but Chelsie will be even stronger with the defensive cover they have.We can challenge but can we win i don't know nobody does.

Think quite a few ex-lfc players quite harsh on LFC because they don't see eye-to-eye with rafa's tactics and decisions.

I heard Steve Mcmahon once said LFC will never win the title as long as rafa doesn't know his 1st team.

There are others i suppose.

The only way rafa can shut them up if he wins the title soon.

If Steve McMahon said that then it doesn't make him anti-lfc. I agree with that (but hope I am wrong).

Believing a manager is doing something (not everything) wrong isn't knocking the club.

Football is about stating your views and having good old rows about tactics, selection etc.

Sensationalised, and Overeaction on here by any that fell for it. The only thing that was rubbish was the '£50m' we spent or '£26.5m' on Torres. The price changes everytime you read Torres' name.

Positive mental attitude.

the same guy who was ready to sign a contract but it wasn't given, the same guy who you probably drooled over when he was playing, the same guy who is the only english man to win the champions league twice, scoring in one final.

yeah he was sh*t wasnt he.

ffs sake some of you guys need to chill out, so what he has given an opinion that isnt even bad, just honest and you are slating him as though he was a bad player

grow the f*ck up

i agree totally (minus the abuse :) )  get off the media bandwagon and forget about the heading concentrate on the words.

Macca doesn't say anything that isn't true, although we've had the investment and players have been brought in the other teams around us have done the same.

Obviously my heart tells me we'll walk the EPL this season and be crowned champions but me head tells me it will still be a big askespecially with so many new signings that need to settle in.

lets hope the heart is right :D  :D  :D

blah blah defucking blah... what a load of fucking toss.  Gutter press playing with what Macca actually said.

He's probably right in what he says but the fact of the matter is that its about time we won the "premier" league.  Why not this time?  The scum were awesome last season and I can't see them being any different this season... its time for us to up our game, push em all the way and not be out of the race by Christmas.

we will be better this year, 2 vists to the european cup final in 3 years will instill alot more confidence in the team. Alonso should get beck to his old self, we've spent big and-btw- we finished 1 point behind man u the season before last, 23 last season was a bit of an anomolly. We could just win it, Heinze may be important though.

What's all this b*llocks about Tottenham? They ALWAYS spend money - they ALWAYS finish outside the top 4.

The day Tottenham win the league is the day hell freezes over and Satan skates to work.

I am really amazed why so much hype over his comments about our chances this coming season. He’s no football guru to me and besides what his reasoning were views already long posted here by so many.   ???

a 29 year old full back has nothing to do with whether we win the league or not.

Stopping rotation is the first thing, the next is to keep the ball more, I am fed up of seeing Riise throw the ball as far as he can from throw ins, then it is just 50/50 whether we keep the ball. just throw it short to an Lfc player.

The new signings must produce from the start, every season we have 3 or 4 new players so you can't say that we can't win in their first season,

Rafa must show more faith in his players and let them go for the throat against the non top 4 teams - we should expect to beat them every time and go for it the way Ferguson does.

So I'm guessing Hell froze over in 1961 when Spurs done the double.

This year Spurs will finish abover Arsenal and in the top 4.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

he may not win us the league but he can go some way to help us not lose it. riisse is no left back, the sooner people realise this the better. Go back and watch the Arsenal 3-1 drubbing, all they did was immediatley take the ball/play to riise, play him in midfield in front of hienze in away games and we may well see a differnce come May. Remember troare whatever his name was? nuff said.  ps changin a throw-in isnt gonna win us the league. There! we can all do it.

Well - I thought it was pretty obvious that I meant now, rather than nearly half a century ago...

I don't get people who think Spurs have a better side than Arsenal. The balance of Arsenal's side is so superior it's untrue. Tottenham's defence in terms of personnel isn't bad, but in reality it's a shambles for a 'top club'. Attacking wise, their games against the top sides last season show they're not up to much, either.

I don't see why they will be so much better than last season.  They have signed Bale, good player.... but he is unlikely to hit the ground running and they have signed Bent.  Now he will probably be a good partner for Berbatov but I don't see him as an individual any better than Keane or Defoe, perhaps inferior, but he will suit the main man better.  Then you have the potential unrest in other 'star' strikers and it could all go tits up for them.

One game that sticks in my mind where they were given a proper test was Sevilla in the UEFA and they failed.  I don't see them taking that next step past that point.
