Not really, the stories about the mancs/Tevez and mancs/Heinze/Liverpool is negating the need for other stories. You do know it is only made up sheet to fill the sheets of the papers? Once they have actual stories to report they don't have the energy to report those and make sheet up

Rick Parry admitted excitement is high at Anfield ahead of the new season and revealed the club's spending may not yet be over.
As he returned with the squad from Hong Kong on Sunday morning, the Reds chief executive spoke of his satisfaction at the way the summer has evolved in terms of new signings and insisted Liverpool will always be in the market for quality players.

"There's always a lot expectation but there's definitely a special buzz about the upcoming season. We're all excited with the new signings we've made and genuinely happy with what we've done," he told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"It was important to get them in as early as possible so that Rafa could have more time working with them. Bringing players in on the last day of the transfer window is never ideal. It was good for our new players to have been involved in the training camp out in Switzerland and then in Hong Kong.

"That doesn't mean to say we'll now be standing still. A lot of clubs have spent significant amounts of money this summer, like Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea. Then there's a number of other clubs who've recently also had new investors, such as Newcastle, and there's still a long way to go before the end of the transfer window.

"If a player becomes available and he's the right player for this club then yes we will be interested."

We still need some wingers, come on Rafa and Parry get Quaresma and Mancini !!! We haven't actually spent that much this summer, I do have the feeling there are more signings, but there are no rumours at the moment, it's kind of weird.

I hear Owen's available until tomorrow night.

Seriously though, it wouldn't surprise me to see us wait until Champs Lge football is secured before signing another player.

The Tevez Scandal and the Heinze situation are giving the journalists something to write about, hence why there has been a lack of Liverpool want to sign, so and so.

I don’t know if this link has been posted, but Parry has addressed the media suggesting that spending might not be finished.

As for Quaresma, I have been informed by several Porto fans, that Porto want in the region of 25m Euro’s and Quaresma’s desired destination is a path back to La Liga.

I’m not sure what’s the situation is with Mancini, I heard Rafa had a £17.5m bid for Mancini turned down.

Interesting times could still loom ahead.
