Obviously would be chopped and changed depending on who plays better etc. Babel might knock Kewel from LM Torres could be turd(doubt it though) and Voronin take his place. Kuyt will be a beast next season hough!

i think we have the best bunch of central midfield players in the world and a top top striker who has learnt the game playing upfront alone and from what i have seen of insua in the u20 world cup we have a very promising player so i would give this team a look :

finnan carra agger insua

mascherano alonso

pennant gerrard babel

torres

i believe pennant and babel would be a better option in this formation as they have a bit more pace and fitnes then harry and benny do so they could join torres in attack much quicker

this is not what i feel our best team is, as i think your best team depends on your apponents but i would love to see this line up

Reina (Carson)
Finnan(Arbeloa) Carra (Hyypia) Agger(Threlfall/Hobbs)
Mash(Momo) Alonso(Lucas)
Gerrard (Pennant) Riise (Aurelio)
Kuyt (Voronin/Yossi) Kewell (Babel)
Torres (Crouch)

Can very easity switch to 4-4-2 because finnan is a RB and Riise can play LB and Kewell at LM. I think the key is to get our best XI "footballers" on the pitch and THEN do your best to have them play in a position that is as natural to them as possible. As overall footballers, I don't think there is anyone as a sub that is better than people who are starting, barring maybe Hyypia but he is getting up there in age. Pennant is on great form and I really do rate him, but he is too specialized, and certainly in this formation wouldn't offer enough defensively on the flank. But if this formation wasn't working out the first thing i would do is take out whoever is playing worse between mascherano and alonso and move gerrard to the centre and put in Pennant at RM and switch to 442.

It's obvious everybody has different interprations of our best 11 and our best formation and I wouldn't be surprised if everybody's selected 11 and formation wasn't used at some point during the season because of Rafa's constant frustrating rotation policy.

I reckon these are the 3 best teams we can put out depending on the formation.
