oh dear...will have to disagree. oasis had a greatfirst album, but done nothing since. and the chords are so simplistic its embarressing!!

at least blur change with the times, try new things, are innovative.

hence there aer 100 oasis tribute bands, but not too many blur ones, as no one can play guitar like graham coxon.

andy bell is probably the best guitarist in oasis, but hes sold out since leaving ride the shoe gazers of the 90s

Over rated Southern Jessies. Alex James is a cunt as is little Damon.

I personally always thought that Pulp p*ssed over the pair of them. :D

Oasis - 1 fairly great, but slightly overrated album (Definitely Maybe), 1 good album (What's The Story), and several really poor albums with the odd good song.
Blur - 1 weak album with 1 or 2 good songs (Leisure), 1 really good, very underrated album (Modern Life Is Rubbish), 1 almost great, slightly overrated album (Parklife), 1 really, really overrated album with some good songs and several terrible singles (The Great Escape), then fits and starts for the rest of their stuff.

If you go through their back catalogues, you can make some cracking compilations. I don't think either Blur or Oasis ever made an absolutely killer album though - ie: an album that couldn't be improved by either dropping a song completely, or else by swapping one or two out for either B-sides or tracks from another of their records.

I love Blur, though I am not a fan of Beetlebum, my favourite Blur song would be For Tomorrow, now that’s a song. :)

I have to say that Pulp’s – Different Class album out did any album Blur and Oasis produced, but in truth I like all three bands, equally.

Its ashame Oasis keep releasing run of the mill albums.

just because we've evolved down here you northern nonces dont have to carry on.

Fact is oasis had one great tune, and have just re jigged it over and over and over and over.

blur meanwhile always pushed the boundaries.

oasis indeed...  :no

One great tune, hahaha you have gotta be kidding me. Let me list all of the Oasis tunes i think are their best work:

Live Forever
Supersonic
Cigs and Alcohol
Slide Away
Wonderwall
Don't Look Back In Anger
Some Might Say
Champagne Supernova
Stand By Me
Go Let it Out
Stop Crying Your Heart Out
Little By Little
Lyla
Importance Of Being Idle
Let There Be Love

Also many B-sides that hadn't even been released:

Acquiesce
Masterplan
Talk Tonight
Listen Up
Half The World Away (Royle Family Theme Tune)

I could go on and on, I cant recall that many Blur tunes that can even match any of them songs. Not one of them songs is similar they are all unique and superb pieces of music in my opinion

ok, so lets see what you've put.

all i see there is one song i think, same tune to all of them right? Where is the progression? wheres the daring? They were not called status-quoasis for nothing you know.

the first album was genius, absolute brilliance, but to say lyla or importance of being idle deserves to be on any list is a travesty.

Now blur, we could start with how they made the indie scene with theres no other way. Coiuld talk about how damon and blur helped with the trainspotting soundtrack. We could go on about song2, chemical world, parklife, girls and boys.

Blur changed with teh times, the band changed the music not its members. Oasis sacked people so much that only the two tw@t faced talentless rothers are left.

People admit liam cant sing and everyone knows noel cant play the guitar, so whats the point?

Maybe the first album was too good, nothing could compare, but did they have to just spew out the same old sh!te for the subsequent years?

and when i say one good tune, all i mean is that they all sound the asme, whiny northern manc voices, ave it..feck off!!!
