And while we're at it, let's take a closer look at the scum's "Golden generation":
Peter Schmeichel: Goalkeeper was the best of his generation, from that hamlet just outside Manchester known as "Denmark".
Jaap Stam: Signed for a then World-record fee (for a defender) from PSV Eindhoven. Born in that noted Industrial town of Kampen, Netherlands, Manchester.
Gary "B*stard" Neville: Born in a Manc slum to sibling parents, he and his brother Phil whiled away the hours by sucking one another's c*cks until ALex Ferguson offered them the chance to suck his, instead.
Ronny Johnsen: Member of Utd's Youth Cup-Winning side, but only in his mind. Actually a 2nd-rate Centreback from Norway, which I am sure the Mancs will tell you, is just next to Salford.
Dennis Irwin: Has the distiction of being the only member of the treble-winning squad NOT born in or around Manchester. Was actually born in an Irish sett to Badger parents, Clyde and Martha.
Ryan Giggs: Exceptional winger who was born in the inner-most sanctum of Manchester, known as "Cardiff". Spotted by Manchester City, but poached by that red-nosed whiskey addicted b*stard when he offered homo-erotic videos and a lifetime's supply of Gillette razors.
Beckham was born in Manchester's feeder-town, "London" and poached from Tottenham Hotspurs' School of Excellence by the thieving Manc tw*ts. While still in London, he was tipped as the "Next Big Thing" in Menza circles, but on his arrival in Manchester his IQ dropped at a terrific rate until it finally stabilised at 14, slightly above the city's average of 2.
Keane: Self-proclaimed "Son of God" was bought from Notts Forest, Man Yoo's noted Youth Academy. He states that he was born in Ireland, but it has since been proven he is actually a Manc sewer rat, the spawn of rodent parents "Nancy and Geoff". His attempts at rubbishing this find were quashed by the High Court when he ran from the witness stand and robbed an innocent child onlooker of his Dairylea triangle.
Scholes: Has long been regarded as a shy thinker due to his lack of public appearances and interviews. It is actually due to the fact that he was born in Salford to a retarded gutter snipe and a geriatric kipper, and is thus unable to speak. (Although he CAN breathe under water, which is a very popular ability in the Scum's after-match bathtub.)
Cole: Bought for a then hefty £7m (£1m of which was made-up by Gillespie). Born in Nottingham, and already with his 4th club by the age of 24. (He actually started at Arsenal.) Was born the result of a botched scientific experiment to find a viable alternative to existing fertilizers, explaining the label "Andy Cole is horse sh*t."
Yorke: Born the b*stard son of a Pigmi and a Mango fruit (obviously in the suburbs of Manchester...), he is more famous for being an ugly c*nt than a footballer.
Fathered a child with a World-renowned prostitute, and has not been seen since.
Thank f*ck.

I have been listening to Talksport most of the day and night (I lose most radio stations when driving all over ) yes i know its not the best station in the world but for most of the night they have been asking the question are Liverpool and more so Rafa under more pressure to win the League this year, do we as fans expect us to make that final push after the money that has been spent ? Or would the majority of us be happy to finish closer this time than last year to the top two ?
A lot of this has come from Maureen shouting his mouth off in the papers, many who rang in said we had the Deffence and Midfield to win it and now we have the players to provide the cutting edge and score the goals, is it as straight forward as that or is it a case of allowing the new players time to settle and to not expect to much from them this season ?
Just for the record, i don't think nor am i suggesting that Rafa HAS to win it this time or he will be sacked, i just wondered what your views are on what you would describe as acceptable given the ammount of money he has spent ( Their words)
For what it is worth i would settle for us still to be in with a chance going into the last month and of course number 6 would be nice along the way , obviously i would love it if we win the League. I don't want to sound negative but i just think it will take a little longer than some people seem to think.
I think anyone who expects us to win the title this coming season is being silly.

Its not a money issue, because our net spend this year is around £23m so far, thats not even one Shrek, or Essien, it looks as though we have the right players with the right mentality. There aren't any 'big time Charlies', Pennants under control, Bellamys gone. Voronin, Torres, Benayoun could have gone elsewhere/ stayed, and for more money, but didn't.
Most importantly Rafa has to have realised that the dynamics of the league have changed since his arrival, that you can't afford 6 losses anymore and win it, that we need to start the season running and by his acquisition of forwards, that we must destroy the mid table/bottom half teams.
Maybe more in hope, but i cannot see Manu playing aswell as they did, they had the perfect games to start the campaign last year, and yes it makes a difference, when you play poor teams and win you build momentum and confidence, which in turn helps you to win against the better sides. We'll also see what Tevez is made of now he is not in a relegation team, but in one where the opposition defend deep, and trying to fit him in won't be easy either. Chelsea will have to contend without Essien (pushing Gerrard hard for best midfielder IMO) and Drogba for around 6 weeks, that is a massive hole, they are essentially the power of the team.
All in all i will believe we can win this year, but we must take on board the lessons of the last 3 years, rotate players when we are winning 2-0, 3-0. Rotate them once we have enough points in the CL goup stages. Rotate totally if you want in the Carling Cup, or early stages of the FA cup, But don't take a chance in the league 4+ losses and too many draws and you're out of it.

I know what your saying Lando in a round about way.
But when can we realisticly expect to win the title ? There are far too many excuses these years for Liverpool

I don't think you really CAN "expect" to win the title with the scum spending like it's going out of fashion and moneybags Mourinho knocking about.
The only time I would expect us to win it is if we were reigning champions. I hope we'll win it, of course, but I just don't expect it.
I think it's this distinction that needs to be made in the minds of some others. Expectations do nothing for the players, other than add pressure.
My t'uppance, anyroad.
