the sections are needed but its dipsh!ts who dnot know how to post in the right sections.

Maybe there should be a liverpool mod (leon), a rumours mod (welsh wizard) a gen chat mod (woof) and england mod (richard) a polls mod (judge and lando) and keep the modfatehrs to oversee.

personally i blame the downfall on everyone posting sites that can be used illegally to watch games via streams or download films, the illegality doesnt give a proffessionalism to the site.

love that show, brought season 1 and 2, but apparently season 3 and 4 have been made but you cant buy them anywhere so im fecked til playusa.com gets them!

On the subject, I assume that its more posts that means more server space that means it costs more money to run this place ?

Merging topics will half the number of topics about the same thing, thus resulting in less server space and less cost.

Deleting topics rather than locking ones that are totally pointless will result in less bandwidth which will mean less costs.

Less pointless areas of the forum, means less pasts which means less server space which means less cost.

Firmer moderating will result in less posts of a bollox nature which will result in less server space which means less cost.

Anyone see a pattern emerging here ?

The site could cetainly stand some trimming and as you say a lot of topics could be merged.

I'm not tech headed enough to understand just how much money deleting and merging things would save us BUT if it's significant perhaps we should consider deleting every thread that has been dormant for more than six months . That'llprobably wipe of 70% of the stuff thats archived on here.

I'm not sure Woof, but I would have thought it was bandwidth usage not storage that cost the big bucks. So deleting old threads etc wouldn't be much of a saving. I may be wrong.

deleting threads would be pointless.

The servers bandwidth is used mainly bvy the amount of users online. Posts are only a very very small percent of the bandwidth.

how about we have limits on the size of the signatures to help save bandwith?

You see people with these massive pictures in their sigs.

Fair enough Rafa . So in essence the more people on the site at any one time the higher demand on bandwith , sounds right to me.Is that why it sometimes take ages to get in here ?.
