They also report that despite his earlier insistance that he was staying at the club Liverpool and Portsmouth have agreed a loan deal for Salif Diao.

no surprise Baros is staying after Barca stopped thier interest,  Diao, well I think he could still do something for us but if we can get a few million from Pompey then I won't be sad to see him go.

Well thats another one of the wage bill and yet more £ freed up to bring in replacements I should imagine. Thats about 6 gone now including the two we youngsters released and if diouf goes, that makes 7. With only one having come in so far I cant believe we wont bring in a few players. Even if Rafa had no money to spend the trimming of the squad has left some spaces and £ in the squad. Its all exciting, confusing, and secretive and the season hasnt started yet. Does anyone share the feeling that something is gonna happen before the start or am I hoping that much that Ive actually convinced myself of it. Its all making me lose the plot. I actually check the news on teletext in the mornings before I have a fag and a coffee take a dump or anything.  :D
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.
