Seriously though, great shame to see this place go to  when it has great potential and some good memebers.

I'm not exactley sure what you mean when you say "great shame to see this place go to :censored: when it has great potential"

Leon,Great potential for what ?  I guess we have to decide exactley what we want this place to be.  Personally, I love the  irreverence that pervades this site and see it very much as a place where liverpool supporters can exchange views and have a laugh without taking themselves too seriously. If you're point is that it should be more serious about football issues , I for one would rather read the opinions of ex LFC players and other professionals than half the shi'te that is spouted by some of the " I've played sunday league and know what i'm talking about so listen to me " r'soles that bang on and on in the supposedly more serious sections of the forum.

We all have opinions , some of them thought provoking and some of them completely off the wall , but lets not make the mistake of taking any of them too seriously.

As for

When they made up two new moderators the other week, and it went tits up, why didnt they replace them ?

Admin clearly don't like me and were too scared to ask you , left only with a choice of Smeg, Joko and LFC 2007 they wisely decided to postpone the election.

:D

Seriously though , think of it as your election manifesto, you've had a moan about the forum in the vaguest of terms , what exactly are your goals for the forum and how would you set about achieving them .

ps (banning me is not an option)

Check out the Woofmiester with the multiquotes - right TP now on here or what ?

What I mean is I used to be on here 24/7.

Now I barely read never mind post.

As I mentioned earlier, I agree that decisions need to be made over where this place is going.

It will continue to stagnate if there are loads of areas, mild if any moderation (no offence to mods) and no parameters set for new people and thread starting.

Rundle was on here bemoaning the lack of click through and Adsense dollar and the cost to him, but does fuc.k all about it.

A decision should be made on where this place goes. JBG, Ciggy, Woolyback, Ckay, Owzat, AB and some other excellent contributors are sorely missed, and I feel it is defo in relation to the way the site has stopped evolving.

Clearly lots of sections DO NO work unless you have lots of moderators with iron fists in silk gloves making sure that things are posted in the right places, right thread etc...

If its a free for all then fine, but there only needs to be one forum then.

Stickies are left for months, newbies start threads in minutes of joining, threads exsist in three or more forms all about the same thing and they are NEVER merged. Why ?

Woofmiester ! WTF is that all about ?

You've been on here almost as long as I have , since when did a valued member like yourself have to ask if it was "right TP now on here or what ?"

Maybe you just have a problem with  banter (or people like me) on this site ? , have another pie , you'll feel better about yourself.

For what it's worth your dedication to all things LFC have always been admired and appreciated.

This in my mind, is a problematic statement to make.

1. Of course there is going to be a 'hardcore' of members who provide ballast for the forum. Always will be, on any site.
But, its bandied about as if they are the sole purpose for its existence?  The only one's who matter...Yes, there will be one extreme to another from a quality point of view, again, something thats in evidence from RAOTL to TTWAR and across the whole spectrum in general.  But from where i sit, these 'premium' members have to MAKE the place worthwhile, that means input. The onus is on them to lead by example then, if you like. Not through abstention. That will only engender the present type of scenario you have highlighted.

There are several 'jewels' amongst the throng on here, many who never dream, or would dare to ask for credit for their efforts. Yet, will remain vital to the cause, in my book. Perhaps they too could well do with a shout, or a heads up on occasion. Or are we to hold yet another self-effacing Poll to determine who exactly is the best?  For whatever reason....In other words, like i said above - it isn't just the elite few who provide the template for success.

2. The issue of OOTs/WOOLs and Homegrown posters.

Personally, im a WOOL, no bones of it - no apologies. End of. Anybody who comes from within the city boundaries (imagined or geographical) or from Timbuktu is as welcome to spout as much bollox as the next man as far as mine goes.  It is critical that there is an element of 'Scouse' blood in the forum, thats a no-brainer. For obvious (and not so...) reasons. But the vitriol at times isn't necessary. Blah, blah 'we're all reds' blah de blah!  aren't we? for the umpteenth time.

3. The layout of RAOTL was recently altered, then hastily changed back for technical issues, in an attempt to 'freshen' up the gaff. I believe that could well be one of the Key decisions taken here that might actually WORK. As Leon and others have mentioned, it is very vague in its current state and is in dire need of a revamp. Im trying to like the whole RAWK template, but i feel that too is cluttered and rudderless. There surely must be a suitable compromise out there.

Maybe the sound of creaking woodwork would then become louder, as people find a bit of much needed direction, in order to treat the place with a bit more respect and find the confidence to open up, as opposed to hiding behind various guises that amount to f**k all value to the place, which will lead to its inevitable demise. RE: Point 1.

4. New members/Posting rights

Quite honestly, they are mishandled from the off. There has to be a period of grace, much stricter than the present one with regards to their 'acceptance' into the forum. Other sites, seem capable of managing it, why cant this one?

5. Revenue stream

Again, old ground...needs revisiting perhaps. I'd be up for it should it be implemented.

A great deal of this has already been said and covered by others. But, its clear that change would be a good thing here, nothing stopping the two-pennorth of some of the members who choose to want to do something about it, before the situation becomes terminal. On that note, im in full agreement.

I guess thats always been you problem. High pulse rate and a slow metabolism ,

As for the rest of your response, if amidst some sniping your can't recognise a genuine compliment,  go :censored: yourself.

I have admired your dedication to LFC but if truth be told you're a "glass half empty" kinda guy , always f'ucking moaning about something on this forum . Why not do yourself a favour and just p'iss off to one of the site's you apparently spend more time in nowadays and seem to rate so highly , we'll get over it , honest.

I think you guys have got your wires crossed here.

I don't think Leon meant to offend you in any way.

Guess I'm easily offended. Probably still upset for him excluding me from his "excellent contributors" list i.e JBG, Ciggy, Woolyback, Ckay, Owzat, AB. !

AB,   I like the fella but c'mon , his most notable contributions to this forum were nuclear flame wars.

(Do miss him though, call me sentimental  :D )

Just noticed that the bottom section of the forum is set aside for World Cup 2006 discussion.

The prosecution rests m'lord.
