Cech

Finnan
Terry
Carvalho
Evra

Gerrard
Lampard
Scholes
Giggs

Rooney
Drogba

Based purely on current form (end of season).

However much we refuse to believe it, in terms of personal we are still quite a way behind Chelsea and Man Utd. I see no basis in this "our first eleven is as good as there's" argument. Finnan, Carra, Reina, Xabi Alonso, Gerrard, Crouch and possibly Torres can match them at present, but only match them. Thats four places in the starting eleven where I believe they are better than us.

leftback - Inconsistency hit us a lot here in the previous season, Riise seemed to come up Murph's curse and was so careless in some games. Aurelio blowed hot and cold and then fell to a unfortunate injury.

centreback - Aggers going to be good, going to be great IMO. At 22 years of age, he removed Sami from the starting line and looks calm and assured in every game, Can play football as well, quite rare in a centre back but at the moment , Carvalho,Terry, Vidic and Ferdinand are head and shoulders above him.

rightmidfielder - I've put Stevie in the middle, as for me, Stevie and Xabi can match any midfield combo that the others put out. They both have relatively shi.te seasons but I expect a good season from both and can see Xabi really coming of age this year and stamping his mark on most games. Sooo for me with only Pennant and Yossi as viable options on the right, the top 2 pis's on us from above in this position STILL 2 years later!!

left midfielder - Kewell - sicknote, Leto - youngster, Babel - is he really a winger?!? I dont know how good Babel's going to be, but I am very excited by his transfer but at present once again we cannot compete with their wingers.

For all I know Yossi and babel might play the wings and turn into real fine players in their first season. However here at Liverpool we have been bitten quite frequently in the past with such greats as Chrerou, Diouf and Cisse so i will refuse to build the lads up.

Let them play first but for now, on paper, the top two have the edge.

But us,

well we have Rafa Benitez!

If your d!ckhead eyes could see I have posted my side, you thick cu.nt.

but lets be honest that side was rather unfair towards Liverpool  :D  so I'll pick the side that is fair

Clemance
Neal
Hansen
Carra
Nicol
Callaghan
Souness ©
Gerrard
Heighway
Dalglish
Rush
Subs: Reina, Lawro, Barnes, McDermott, Fowler

And even at this current moment in time that side would walk away with the league title.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

If you had an ounce of intelligence - which you clearly don't you would be able to see that it was a joke.

In fact forget it, you're the joke and that's how I'll treat you from now on.

You must have an Agger management problem

Funny that, I never disputed those questions. But you're one for missing the point.

mmmm...

                             Cech

Eboue        Gallas        Terry©        Evra

Ronaldo        Gerrard       Makelele      Giggs

                       Rooney
                            Shevchenko

bench: Reina, Ferdinand, Essien, Tevez , Drogba

thats based on ability not form... think shevchenko is now the best striker in the league with henry gone... but chelsea need to play to his strengths and if he stays...i think hes more than capable of scoring 20+ goals a season...

eboue better than neville ...
evra gets the nod ahead of heinze; both brilliant but evra much better going forward
gallas and terry... better than ferdinand, carvalho, toure and carra... ferdinand not so far behind
Ronaldo... hands down
Giggs... giggs and robben ... id go for giggs...experience and knows when to pass the ball
makelele... still the best at what he does... essien is a different type of player but with the formation and lineup makelele would def. make the starting 11
Gerrard... best central midfielder in the league... shame fabregas cant make the squad
Rooney... 2nd striker...was either him or Tevez... vanpersie and perhaps torres not so far behind
Sheva... come on... one of the best strikers in the history of serieA... quality player and one of the best strikers in the last decade or so !
didnt make in the prem. last season but no one can write him off... all forwards should watch out if he gets back to his best !
drogba as sub..
