You can't really do much when the opposition dives all the time and the referee approves them.

Well it seems as though he'll still be here next season.

I'm happy with that. Although we do need a new first choice left winger, I wouldn't want to see a player of Harry's quality leave the squad. Was dissapointed when Garcia left for that reason.

Who ever we bring in, there's no guarantee they'll hit the ground running, so we need other quality options. Kewell provides that.

obviously someone who knows nothing about asian football

:D ... ASEAN cup does not equal Asian cup...

anyway singapore is a decent team in SEA... they're probably in the top 2 alongside with thailand... I see singapore as England of SEA... they're disciplined and direct, but a bit boring sometimes... Thailand and Vietnam on the other hand has a bit more flair

but the whole of SEA football level is a notch down top asian level... and regarding kewell it can make him look good... because the opponents are just that much a bit slower and physically that much a bit weaker... so kewell should find it that much a bit easier to go past opponents... and he would have plenty of time on the ball as well..

i tend to disagree, becasue he is in asia he will be marked more than ever. these asian teams r very good technically and press/man mark very well. i think kewell will still go well but it wont be easy

If it's again top asian teams like japan, korea, iran, china you're probably right... but lesser teams cannot afford to mark kewell alone... they have to mark the whole australian team because anyone can hurt them... imagine a 16 year old playing with 14 year olds... that's the kind of advantage he has physically... so yeah i do think that we can't look too much into how he performs with those teams...

Its a long time since supporters were so divided in their view over a player. I think the last was Bruno 'Zidane' Cheyrou.

Whilst he is a good player I cant remember the last time his contribution led us to winning a game when without him we would not of.  Anyone have such a memory?

He scored a cracker to beat Spurs at Anfield in the 05-06 season as well (also scored the winner against Man City that same season, if memory serves).  The bottom line--when he's fit he brings something very useful to the side.  I'll be happy to have him stay.

Inconsistent.  We cant carry him anymore.

The key to Harry is not consitensy. Are you mad? Hes always put in good performances when hes been fit and is more than capable of scoring goals as well as creating them.

The key to Harry Kewel is staying injury free. If he can go the whole season without any injury recurrences we will have a lot of options on the left as he beat players and create a lot.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I have given up on Kewell long ago.
No one has any idea where Kewell stands as he rarely gets any games so everyone thinks back at his leeds days and still thinks we've got that kind of a player.

He has lost a lot of pace and that will make him very ineffective nowadays. I'm not that sorry if he left more than I'm sorry that he never has performed the way I thought he would.

Still amazed there are those who love him.
Scored maybe 5 goals in his whole Liverpool career which is so pathetic and not what we need.
