Bye bye cisse - Bbc

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

As far as i'm concerned, Cisse is not an excellent striker we've thought when we signed him. He's only a striker with pace , not intelligence.
So, Thank God he's leaving. Cheers!!!

how much revenue does the french league make compared to the EPL?
how many players did france adopt from other countries to play for their national side?
how many times did a french team reach AT LEAST the semis of the ECL?
why do only 3 french clubs qualify for the ECL while england has 4?
can you tell us about the scandal OM faced in 1993?
how many french players besides henry and pires are regarded as successful in EPL?
do you really think Sochaux is better then Wigan or Birmingham?

First of all allow me to say how pleasant it is to read a post the content of which is not intended as an insult.  :;):
If you take the time to read what I wrote before, you will realise that I have never claimed that the french Ligue1 was level with the EPL. NEVER.
I admit (simply because I'm no blind guy) that the standards of EPL are higher than our french league.
The point I'm trying to make can be summed up this way :
A. In terms of sheer football skills, the difference between the 2 leagues is not as big as you think it is. If the gap was that big, french sides would be heavily defeated by english sides in european competitions, which is NOT the case.
B. Defenders in the EPL (not to mention goalkeepers..... ) can't be rated the way you rate them. It's a lot easier to score goals in EPL than in the french league. When I say that, I'm not expressing a personal opinion : that is FACT. Didier Drogba scores more goals in the EPL than when he was with us in Marseille.
Food for thought, isn't it?

The reason Didier Drogba scores more goals in EPL because he's with Chelsea.  I don't have to elaborate on that. Cheers.

So what if France pick up players from Africa when they are young.  it is the French youth system that helps them reach the potential that they had when picked up.  there is nothing wrong with this at all.

also Henry and Pires may be the biggest success in England but your forgetting about other leagues.  the EPL is not the benchmark you know.  Most of the top French players in the last 15 years have gone to Italy and Spain.  in these countries they have been successful.

The French youth system is miles better than the English.  nobody can deny that.

Chimbonda was average in France.  Now figures of £12 million are going around for his services.

Gallas a huge success.

Sochaux are better than Wigan and Birmingham.  I have no doubt about that at all.

There are French players that have done better in England than France:

Anelka (his 1st spell at least)
Chimbonda
Henry
Pires

But there are also players who have done worse (some terribly!):

Stephan Guivarch
Alain Boumsong
Silvain Wiltord
Bruno Cheyrou
Bernard Diomede
Ibrahim Ba
Antony Le Tallec
and the list goes on...

Oof this is turning into a england v france debate now isnt it.

Being honest the french youth set-up appears far superior, although i am not saying french players in general are better.
They just seem to have put better ideas and systems in place.

But the clubs in our league and the league in general is comfortably better, that is obvious as the better french players leave lique one to play at a better standard.

As i have previously stated if our clubs played the french ones all of the time, we would come out easily on top.

how strange that the guy who actually scored goals for us
is going.

this guy has had mad injuries came back and out scored any other of our strikers....despite being messed around.

who is the last striker to score 20+ goals for us....oh thats right it was the messed around cisse.

i'm not saying cisse was the greatest striker in the world but he scored goals unlike the other losers we have and now we have spent big on another loser who has never scored more than 15 goals....oh yeah thats really going to win us the title.

cisse was better away from home i wonder why, could it be the booing

What a pleb you are.

When did Cisse ever get booed ?

Anyone who supports LFC knows that Rafa wants more from his strikers than just goals, he wants them to think of the team first, bring others in to play, chase back when we dont have the ball.

Torres's record in Spain wasnt too bad, and shouldnt have any bearing on what he will play like here.

So feck off, you short, ginger, small-dicked, smelly homo b*stard. (Just covering all the bases, see?)

Considering that Lando Griffin is registered as a LFC elite member, I wonder what unexplored abyss of vulgarity, what unimaginable depths in the field of despicable behaviour could be reached by just an "ordinary" member . Going further down certainly requires an excavator or two.

As for the last part of Lando Griffin's post, referring to my sexual habits and the size of my machinery, he'd better gather reliable information from people who really know what it's all about : his mother, his sister, his wife and his daughter.
(in terms of covering all the bases, let's call it a draw, shall we?)

Oh by the way : it may be that no-one wants me here (although I doubt it : such a statement implies that Lando Griffin knows everyone, but the facts contradict this assumption : getting in touch with Lando Griffin is so hilariously funny an experience that it would cause a dramatic increase of heart-attacks due to excessive laughter, yet the latest statistics show no evidence of that), but I'm afraid you have no means to dismiss me.
Only moderators could, if only they moderated anything. But what Lando Griffin allows himself to write without being called to order reveals that moderators (if any) moderate nothing at all.

Oh, I'm sorry for using assumptions, little boy - I thought that, in view of your posts, assumptions were the order of the day.
Let's see, shall we?:

You have assumed everything about me, from the standard of my education (which would probably suprise you, if you had the mental strength to display such an emotion), to my social skills.

Now then - WHO assumes? WHO is the one facing all the hostility? WHO is the c*nting non-Liverpool fan on a Liverpool forum?

WHO is going to get himself banned?

It's all YOU, you whore-peddling spastic.

if its the french youth system that is so great, why not groom the local ones instead of having to get those from africa?
we are comparing england and france here not italy and spain so ur outta point there.
