I'm not "devastated" at losing Luis, perhaps a little sentimental given his performances in some games, but I'm more optimistic about the signing of Torres and a new direction. Luis was never Mr consistency but he made the difference in many games, yet still, we reached the UCL final last year without him and I firmly believe we can go on to achieve further success without him. In the league he was at times dire and a major flaw, yet at times he was also the key difference. IMO he will be missed but from a tactical point of view I see him being of no significant loss to our future plans. He would have been great to keep as someone who can unlock stubborn defenses, but maybe we can find a couple of solid wingers which IMO is what has been one of our key problems to making a sustained push in the league. If the deal was necessary in order to sanction any move for Torres - then so be it. If he was just homesick and could not turn the opportunity to return to AM down, then you have to let him leave, I think Rafa will be well aware of who we need to replace his creativity.
