Parry should have been given the boot long ago!...its down to his dithering and lack of backing for rafa that we are struggling to keep up in the transfer market......not to mention the fiasco over the CL final tickets!. :veryangry

im curious...doesnt rick parry have any influence over how much luis should cost? cant he raise his fee? if darren bent can move for such an exuberrent price...even if its not his worth, cant luis move for more than 3.5m? isnt rick parry able to aggresively influence or negotiate for a higher return? i reckon luis should be worth at least what we got him for.

Totally gutted to see Garcia leave as much as he infuriates his goals make up for it.
One of my favourite Liverpool players that will be sadly missed.
But I guess it was out of our hands and he wants to move back to Spain

I'm as gutted as anyone that Garcia is leaving, in fact I've spent the last 3 years defending him on this forum. But I can't see it being a case uf us kicking him out the door against his will, he must fancy finishing his career in Spain or be a bit homesick I suspect. He's still under contract and could easily refuse to go to Athletico.

As for the fee, if we bought him for around 6 million, then I think he's still worth that at least. He may be 29 now, but his reputation has risen a lot since we signed him, he was never a regular in the Spain squad until his CL performances for us.

It's not as straight forward as that though. If he is indeed going for 3.5 million then we can only assume it was to smooth negotiations with Athletico over Torres. If Torres wasn't involved Garcia would definitely be going for more cash, so I'm not going to be too harsh on Parry over this one.

WTF is going on ..!!!! We are being held ransom over the players that we are selling .... Look at cisse and garcia all going up on half...IF rick parry is responsible for that the new owners should be smart and kick him out.

Lets go and get some real flair and guile then. Garcia was alright but he wasnt a week in week out performer. There is a lot better out there.

Erm what about Stevie G, I'd say he has plenty of flair, or how about Riise with his piledriver shots, or Kewell etc etc. Stop talking sh1t. Most of you lot moan about Garcia all the time. I will miss him for his very very occassional brilliance but he is far too inconsistent and I reckon his best days are past him. In any case it was a makeweight in the Torres transfer and I'd much much rather have Torres than Garcia.

No one here is talking shi.te..... Stevie G and Riise are totally different story..Kewell can be included so do jermaine pennant , but garcia scores a fair amount of crucial goals , he creates chances for others does lil intelligent passes and he makes life of other defenders hell.

i like to watch him play although he sometimes frus the hell out of me . To me I would prefer having torres and garcia on the same team , liverpool of course .
