Squad fitness

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

From the comments made by Kewell and Murphy Mr Benitez seems to be putting them threw their paces at the Melwood, do you think that Houllier didn't push them enough or is Beni pushing them too hard maybe?

Either way it looks like the squad will be fitter that last year

I think Houllier did a good job on the fitness and modernising the training facilities.
Benitez is a new manager so is probably pushing his new squad and will be looking at players to see how hungry they are.
We might see one or two surprises emerging from pre season as some players will use the new boss as their chance to impress.

I agree Taff, Houllier stoped the likes of Murphy goin on the p1ss and even stoped the use of mobiles at the training ground, players should be fit and also dissaplined.

Remeber Shanks with the rule that players weren't aloud to sleep with their wife/gf the night before a game, that guy was mint! :D
