its fair enough you'd like to see more passion, we all would but im sure rafa expressing his passion by spending the majority of his day at melwood and anfield..... im sure him being manager of liverpool means he gives up alot of his family life,  - he cares alot about lfc in my view, he has turned down real twice..... he's idolised by the majority of fans - im sure rafa could spend 35 mill on torres and sign him 2m , but he is putting the clubs interests before his own -  why ruin the club by sending silly money.....
i like dave o leary but leeds wudnt be in so much trouble if they had a sensible manager like benitez ........... you know.... that to me shows passion not jumping up and down like a lunatic....which he is partial to at times :D

I think to an extent Liverpool have accepted the fact that they cannot win the league.

Both the club and fans expectations where always high every summer and it only seemed like a matter of time until we took the title again but I dont sense that these days.

By the managers own admission we will need a massive investment in the first team, and whilst we hoped this would materialise after the takeover it looks like we may have to wait longer yet to give it a real go.

Every fan lives in hope and if we are surprised in the coming weeks then fantastic, however it may not be until we enter our new arena and the club settles into its new role that we will have the finance to break our premiership duck.

Who's "they" I thought you were a Liverpool fan?

You may have accepted that in your own mind, but your judgement that "they" - assuming "they" are the fans, is wrong.

So you think we, as in we the club, as in we the fans who sustain the club are resigned to the fact that we cannot win the league?

It's just nonsense mate

which ever gobsh!te has convinced himself we can't win the league needs serious help. We as far as i'm concerned are the best team in England alls we lack is consistency. We tore Chelsea and United apart at Anfield last year, only problem with the Utd game was we couldn't score. At Stamford Bridge we tore Chelsea apart. Only a handful of league games were we seriously outplayer or outfought. Other than that we were superb.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.
