Boycotting the s*n.. - But what about the bbc?

this was a question brought up by a friend of mine....

the protest aired on the BBC was great earlier this year. and i watched the show that the :censored: was on, Question Time, and some women on the panel gave him some stick for his past actions aswell as some of the audience, which was great.

but my question is, do the BBC deserve the same treatment the S*n have gotten from Liverpool fans? as in boycotting. I think that he is on another show for the BBC right now too...

the way i see it is that his actions represented the S*n at that time, and were totally unforgivable.
The BBC hiring him may have been because they thought enough time had past to "bring him back", and they didnt cut out the arguments against him during the show and motson even gave the reasons for the protest live on air. still annoyed at them obviously for hiring him.....

is it even feasible to do this with a TV channel? or how do u go about deciding the right actions for this sort of thing?
i have not boycotted the BBC, and probably won't, but i wanted to know what others think...

Well i reckon you cant really boycott the bbc..for one thing you have to pay alicence fee...and for another the only channels i watch on bbc really are: news, bbc3 and bbc4 which are sort of part owned by loads of people.

The BBC is supposed to be our channel, we pay for it, so we should get mroe say in who they hire when it comes to something as serious as this. Id say a major petition, not just us, but EVERY liverpool fan (and football fan really, everyone agrees with us on this) to tell them to never let that scum be on there channel again.

Maybe pick a show to boycott, but you cant boycott the channel itself

You can say boycott the BBC, you can also say Boycott Sky, he's more often seen on Sky as they are part of Newscorp - the same company that owns the s*n.

As Dawson says it's hard to try and Boycott the BBC as we HAVE to pay them for a TV licence even if we don't watch their shite. The best action is to follow the likes of RAWK and other associated Liverpool fans and bombard them with e-mails and complaints about them continually hiring that scumbag and hopefully they'll take some form of action over it. The fact that they shifted his christmas day news review radio show from a primetime slot to a less attractive hour was in someway a small victory.

As for boycotting $ky, that is much easier to do but a lot of people have to $ky as their only way to see Liverpool games (legally :D)as they either live too far away from Liverpool to get to games or just can't get tickets for one reason or another.

Unfortunately if you take your boycott as far as labelling people as guilty by association then it would be a never ending list I'm afraid.

The best I feel we can do is continue to keep the injustice's done to the 96 in the spotlight and directly boycott those responsible for spreading these vicious lies.
Eventually one day the 96 WILL get their justice as long as we never forget, which I think not ONE liverpool fan ever will.  :buttrock

It wasnt the BBC who did great injustice to the Liverpool fans dying and grieving by putting out utter rubbish about thieving and urinating. So no, all those involved in that story should stand up and be counted and offer there apologies for the lies that were told in besmirching supporters of Liverpool Football Club. But they never will because these people are so far up there own backside, there smelling the manure there body emits rather than the roses they believe they smell.
