Mine has to be in 1978 when we played Dynamo Dresden in European Cup although we were up 5-1 in the first leg at anfield quite a few liverpool fans went. Mare of a journey but the stadium a joke. First there were more army there than fans we were hurded on to these concrete steps and told not to move, you dont argue when theve all got machine guns. Trying  to find something to eat was a joke as not one person understood what we were saying and were to scared to speak to us anyway with the soldiers looking on. and when Stevie Hieghway scored and we started to cheer we got the guns pointed at us again . I know it was eastern Germany at the time and we took a risk going but ive seen better stadiums in the rhymans league.

lets get back 2 the topic rather than have a go at a fellow red, worst ground has to be Bramall Lane, want there the opening day of last season, good god it's a dump.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

I think I know what redhayesey is getting at.  It perhaps should be obvious to anyone, however it is also quite understandable for the facts he is alluding to, to have been easily overlooked within a (clearly) innocuous enough thread about the poor condition of many of the stadia across the continent...

For my own part in the thread i apologise (hillsborough stadium photo).  Nonetheless it was an entirely incidental (and topical) choice to show Sheffield Wednesday's ground, which at the moment is under several feet of water, sadly.  Although strictly not entirely relative to this particular thread, I feel this has added to the fire.

Again, the point of concern is a highly sensitive issue found within the pages of an innocently conceived (not to mention unfortunately pertinant - STILL)  thread....if the lessons of those dark days are ever to be addressed satisfactorily enough, stories abound over the pi55 poor state of the places we frequent in the name of football, will continue to present danger to the ordinary working man on the street.

Once more, I personally apologise for any offence caused to the victims and their families regarding 'Hillsborough' and its devastating legacy through the depiction of that photograph. (I suspect also the mention of Heysel hasn't helped by jondoe (a sound lad may i add).

(Perhaps the above sounds extreme - but clearly their is a fellow poster(s) amongst here who felt the need to express their feelings, for whatever motive) Then rightly, that alone deserves a response - to which he and anyone else I hope, will humbly accept at face value for what it was. A simple error of judgement.

Its what they call a 'slow news day' whilst we wait for more exciting news out of Anfield and our mate is suffering from cabin fever!

Worst ground - Prenton Park 20 odd years ago before the rebuild. We used to go on a friday night and god it was miserable. A football filed with 4 bike sheds around it.

I'd say Causeway Lane, Matlock Towns Home ground, It's currently under 5 foot of water.

stoke city's old victoria ground was a complete toilet. and leicester city's old filbert street ground was a bag of cr@p as well away from the main stand. of current grounds i'd say the worst i've been to is valley parade

Well I live in Brighton and our local ground is an athletics track, totally devoid of atmosphere I'd be surprised if there is a worse ground in the league.
