we are tolerant. If people want to criticise Islam then thats fine. The cartoon issue was too far as again it was done knowing the response it would cause. There was no need for it and to try and justify it as freedom of expression made no sense.

First of all i would like to know why when cartoons etc of Jesus are made that the Muslim world does not go crazy, start burning effigies, threatening nation etc?

He was also a prophet of Islam

That muslims do believe Jesus was a prophet....
and, yes they also believe in Abraham etc.

The point about Jesus is being missed, though...
because, yes, He was a prophet but to christians He is so much more....

Islam is a load of hypocritical W*nk and those who follow it deserve everything they get. Pull your head of your a.rse for a minute, you want your religion respected and want to be respected, yet Muslims want to kill all non-believers, then you wonder why you aren’t respected or like for that matter. That’s fine, I just dislike Islam, they want tolerance shown to them, yet they show none to anyone else and so if they were wiped out tomorrow by Israel I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. The fact of the matter is, its not a tolerant religion and never will be, we can offer them the hand peace, no sooner they’d have their head chopped off on television, this behaviour is acceptable in that crock of :censored:

Ok, IMO there are plenty of peaceful and tolerant Muslims. I've been to Muslim countries and they are very welcoming. Women cover themselves as part of their faith, you may generalise the radicals along with the rest of the muslim world but it is a very naive judgement in my book.

To say you would be pleased if Israel wiped out Muslims tomorrow is quite a sick thing to say, and a profoundly misinformed thing to say.

Please don't twist my words, I didn't say I would be pleased, I said I wouldn't care there is a difference, as long as it's not me on the end of Israel's bombs or anyone else's for that matter, I couldn't careless. It's not affecting me or my family or friends, so I am apathetic towards it. Muslim Extremists want to play big boy and big gangster against the Yanks and The West, that's fine, but then they shouldn't whinge when they get bomb into the stone age.

Back to topic, I am pleased to see Salmon Rushdie stand up for his views, if Muslims were tolerant they would accept criticism, the fact is most are backward.

These radical extremists are not what the majority of Muslims represent, how can you not even make that distinction? Get a clue.

You haven't a clue about Islam or the way Muslims live, most are peaceful, not "backward".

I'm not against Muslims, I am just sick of Muslims and their attention seeking, for the past six years, it's been Muslim this and Muslim that and I am sick of it. Muslims don't like this so they attention seek by blowing themselves up, it's pathetic. I dislike the attention, yet I don't blow myself up, so what's Muslims excuse?
