Just watch, they'll make Fabregas captain in the next day or two in hopes of keeping him too.  It worked so well with TH. :D

I don't think Eto'o will leave.  Gudjohnson will go but Eto'o wont leave.  You can accommodate all 4 in the same side. Rijkaard can play 3-4-3 or 4-4-3 with Messi dropping back into midfield.  Barca aint playing.  Madrid may get Kaka but Barca got Henry.  If I was Eto'o I would be relishing playing in an attack with Dino, Henry and Messi behind.  Oh and France Football magazine were right on the button regardless of what Henry's agent said.

Who's Gerrard going to pass back to now?   :D

Anyway, good luck TH - you've served the Premier League well over the years.

Just got my 2007/8 season bet on:

Liverpool to win prem without Chelsea and Man U - 10/11
May shorten now with a Henry-less Ar$enal.

Will pay for my season ticket if it comes in :)

From a differnet angle, TH wanted to leave, the hArse maxed the value by selling this year. You might say that he has 2 quality years left in him not 4.

Wenger has 16 million in his pocket and needs to replace TH, needs to bring in a young and clinical striker. Who would the likely candidates be and would that affect the lads we're after.

And..... would a top footy player prefer to sign for Arsenal or the Reds? Important point, at the end of the day... same pay, same chance of success but to live in swinging London or Liverpool? For example I could see Trezeguet going to Arsenal but not to Liverpool.

Whats Wenger's plan...?  :help

IF Henry does go, good luck to him, he's a fantastic player and a good bloke too.

It's going to be interesting to see how they try to accomodate Henry in their side, IF they keep their existing attackers that is.

I don't see how Eto'o and Henry in the same side will work, but they're great players, so you never know.

If Barca really want to be consistent, IMO they need to work on their defensive capabilities and work as a unit for 90 minutes, if they manage to get Messi and co. to do some tracking back then they may find a better balance to their play.

they would of got more last summer though.  My friend supports Arsenal and his not happy at all.

Rijkaard doesnt want Messi and Dinho tracking back as he uses the classic 4-4-3 system which the great dutch sides used.  The 3 attacking players in this system dont need to track back.  Yeah this season they had problems but they were playing the same way for 2 years before and that delivered 2 La Liga titles and a CL title.

I know what you're saying but I think the Gooners would see him as a compromise replacement and have the same injury concerns etc.. we have. Owen is a second fiddle squad player, TH was superman, sell superman and buy Owen..... not good business.

Hopefully the same plan as when they lost Vieira...have faith in the existing players and not sign a proper replacement.  Step on up, Robbin Van Persie!  :D

Yes matey if we're honest. We didnt win third place, the Gooners threw it away. We were focusing on the CL semis and final, they very sportingly suffered meltdown in the final weeks and handed us third place.

I know but losing their best player will hardly improve their chances of success, if we lost Gerrard I think prospective signings would be less inclined to join us.
