It's when we go to our second choice - Steve Stone - that the mood here'll start to turn sour. :D

To be perfectly honest, I don't know a great deal about the lad.

I did some reseach and I now realise he is no relation to the great Henry Mancini (which is probably a good thing as we are looking for a world class winger, not a writer of quirky 60's and 70's movie theme tunes...) I've been scouring youtube to try and get a decent idea of what sort of player he is... From most of the clips I've seen it would appear he is predominantly right footed but comfortable on either flank. He's young, quick, skilful and generally plays with his head up. It could be that he is exactly what we are looking for...

I know you should never judge a player on a 4 minute clip but take a look at this, it's enough to get you excited about the prospect of him in a red shirt -

Check out the goal he scores at about 1 minute 10 seconds. Brilliant. Couldn't work out what he'd done the first time round...

3 mins 40 - backheel from a cross, nice.

im still confident we will sign  Alessandro Mancini...

we will more than likely have to break our club record for him...

he may cost us as much as 15 million...

i will be delighted  if we get  mancini   he kind of reminds me of kewell in his hay day...  :;):

i know i left the door open there for an attack...
what i meant to say is  mancini does remind me of a young kewell the way he used to take players on when he played for leeds...

also i was so happy when kewell joined us,  i will feel the same if mancini joins us...    :;):

I thought Inter Milan had first refusal on Mancini. There is a mention of this in Rome because it's a known fact if Mancini leaves it's to Inter.

Mancini, C.Ronaldo, Juaquin, Messi and Robben... they are probably the best wingers in world football today !
i doubt we'll be able to affrd mancnini .. he'll probably cost somewhere around 20 mill or so... hes worth that much but dont see us offering that much for a winger ! he scores goals and we desperately need midfielders who can score .

i think we could get him for closer to 15/16 mil and for that he would be worth it, like you said this is the type of player we need, someone with that bit of flair and likes to run at people

when some one like him runs at you it makes you track back and puts you on the back foot pennet and or kewell just don`t seem to be able to do this as well as they should kewell is a little better, but if he was on the pitch for us and running at defences all game long then the games would open up and are other midfield players would also be able to push up and then you have the chance of more goals from them, gerrard coming on to meet his crosses, who ever the strickers are having easy headers in

what ever the cost is we should be looking to get players like him even if it is not him this time

Look! If you want to keep posting on this forum, you must have to create a post with more than 8 words! Geez where do we drag these people up from?

only saw this just now... chill mate... I'm not always posting very short posts...you can see some of my posts are relatively long... and this was not a non-sense post cause I did add an idea/suggestion according to my opinion...

and i see other members post very short posts some even only posts smileys but I guess it's ok for them cause they're elite/guru members? I really don't know what made you jump on my back...

so yeah Look! chill! get off my back! I'm just here to have some fun as a liverpool fan...I do not insult anyone... I do not post flame or troll in forums... AND it wasn't a non-sense post... there has been rumours that roma wants bellamy!

No way Roma would take Bellamy.  its laughable that we are hearing reports that Roma and Juve want him.  total BS.

Also it seems nobody has heard about the Inter have first option on Mancini.  When Inter sold Pizarro to Roma, Roma has promised to Moratti that it will have the pre-emption in case of sale of the Brazilian, holding account that the given offer is of 20 million Euro
