I would imagine that, should Bellamy head for Upton Park, he'd be used as a make-weight for Tevez, rather than the Benayoun.

Henry, Eto'o or Tevez coming, everyone would love it to happen so it gets more credibility than the tenuous links would really warrant. Benayoun or Defoe coming, most don't like it so the rumour gets hammered.

Perhaps though there's something about the waif like stature of Aimar, the little boy lost look of him or the tendancy to perhaps take more of a risk in posession than his fellow countryman which just makes me prefer to watch him more. He's got a kind of a Hurricane Higgins appeal in that you never really know what you are going to get with him, and at times he looks out of place in the environment in which he finds himself. I also think that if you are looking purely from a purist, almost poetic way of watching football Aimar is capable of occasional glimpses of dazzling brilliance and perception which surpass Riquelme, although of course I'm probably wrong.

In truth we don't know if we are now beginning to look down market for our striker, and Eto'o has come out before and re-iterated his desire to stay at Barca on a few occassions.
