What if the likes of bent and benayoun - Are the limit of our expectations?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If we did sign Bent and Benayoun, huuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh..... next season, i will never think about us in a title race. Let alone winning it. FFS, we might as well keep Bellamy. Seriously, i'm one of those people who didn't favour  us taking Owen back but hey, if i have to choose between him and Bent,of course owen would be my choice. :(

But I'd prefer we sign him over Darren Bent

Not so sure it will work in today's game.
Look at Henry or Drogba. They are the modern top strikers.
They make the whole back 4 busy, runs at defenders, shoots, everything.

Disagree, Ronaldo is a great example. Adriano's workrate is hardly inspiring either and Van Nistelrooy (although his workrate isn't terrible).

Want a Liverpool example, how about Robbie?

If anything I think we lack this sort of player, a real goalscorer.

Trezeguat is another example. That guy scored 20+ in seria a every season.  Many a time u dont see him in the game but he scores goals

Wow, they have Everton in their squad ? And he is a good striker ? Does he strike with small clubs as well ?

We have the money and now that we have entered "phase two"...we will splash the cash, and spending 16 mill on bent is slashing the cash, hes a great player and id take him for 16 million rather than blow the whole budget on a 40 or 30million pound player

we need to be more attacking away from home.

Agree 100% - it's up to Rafa to sort that out.

I dont think Rafa would have won the Prem with Man U's team last season.
