There's already a thread called "Big signings" in the Liverpool general discussion forum, and I think this question can fit perfectly there, as this post doesn't provide any new concern or insight about the topic.

Reports are suggesting that Ryan Crowther and Greg Tansey have joined Liverpool for £400,000 from Stockport County.

Though nothing is confirmed yet (which is why this is a RUMOUR ONLY), both of the youngsters DID go on trial to Anfield and both went and took part in a tournament in Italy with the Liverpool youth team.

Greg Tansey made five appearances in the Stockport County team last season, two of them in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and the other three in the league. He impressed when he was brought into the team at the end of the season against MK Dons, and he also scored a wonder goal in the Youth Alliance Cup Final against Colchester United.

Ryan Crowther is a pacy right winger and has made just two appearances for County. In the 05/06 season he came off the bench against Cheltenham, and then in the home defeat against Shrewsbury in September he was handed his first start - but went off injured and that ruined his chances of securing a first team place

Calm down will ya! Jeez, for a start did you really expect that the day the window opened we'd been throwing around a vast Abramovich-esque chest of money and signing the Kakas, Ronaldinhos and Eto'os without delay?! The season hasn't even finished in spain yet, everyone's on hols and the scouts will be working away. It is still early days, so take a chill pill and give it a few days. It's not as if every other big club has sprung into action is it? Just because clubs like West Ham and Newcastle are throwing wads of cash at each other and running round like a drunken stock exchange workers, doesn't mean that we do it. Or would you rather Rafa made some expensive, rash and potentially embaressing signings? That was a feature of Houllier, and I don't want to see those days again.
Be patient, it's not as if you can do anything about it, is it? So sit down, have a smoke and let Rafa work his magic. And what will be, will be.

No worries, everybody has more or less the same concerns, it's in order we don't discuss the same thing in different threads, because then we have to repeat ourselves :)

no i never thought we would go out any get everyone we had been linked to and yes i know the spainish league is yet to finish but are we only buying spainish players??? or just from there leagues???

you say that newcastle and west ham have splashed the cash but are you not forgetting scum have gone out and spent 50 mil on the players they were looking at and this is one of the teams we need to get nearer not fall behind even more

i am not saying sign now and sign everyone but rafa had a list and we still seem to be lagging behind just my thoughts mate
