Just a bit of a laugh, but well worth checking back on, in the Spring of 05. By then , we'll really have enough games to pass an informed opinion on Rafa. Anyway, everyone's an expect before the season starts.

Im going for third but im not going to come back and give Rafa stick if we dont. It would be a successful season if we could finish above the mancs and i reckon we will next season.

I've also gone for 3rd. Steady progress will do me fine.

i went for second as i think Chelski will struggle with in fighting over players not playing regularly.
the Mancs are heading for another 23 years of nothing soon and Arsenal are just too good at the moment they have too many attacking options to stop them and so they will take the title and we will be second but the margin between us will still be large 10-15 points.

i can even see Middlesbrough beeting themancs and pushing them out of champions league spots

I'd just like to see a four way fight for the top spot with 2 months to go. Watching a team win the league by christmas is just boring ( unless it us of course ).

about time but how realistic is it.

but it's good to go for as we will not be as far off it as we where last season.

I agree with Ckay.

I'd accept third as a sign of steady progress with a more attractive and effective playing style and without the huge gap with Arsenal or manure or Chelski.

I went for 3rd but we ended up 4th last season.

But I just feel that there's something extra this coming season.

Or do I mean GH is missing this coming season. :D

Third spot would be a major achievement. We finished 30 points behind Arsenal last year and about 15 behind Man Utd.......and by their standards they had a poor season.

Our new coach has a huge job on his hands after GH's years of mismanagement. A bit of consistency would be a step in the right direction.

Another plus would be still to be challenging for the title in November.........remember how Houllier chucked in the towel after about 10 matches.

I am feeling a bit more optimistic on the basis that nothing can be worse than Houllier's last two years in charge. But we have a way to go before we can consider ourselves to be up there with Arsenal.

you should really have created this poll in a months time, theres no way we can really judge how the team is gonna do under benitez he's only had one training session and not even with all the players!

Fowler thats hardly discussion - if you red what Voices From Yates said you mitent have said that -

'Just a bit of a laugh, but well worth checking back on, in the Spring of 05. By then , we'll really have enough games to pass an informed opinion on Rafa. Anyway, everyone's an expect before the season starts.'

Anyway I think we're gonna win it. I agree just battling it out with the other three will be a great achievement compared to last season but therez no reason we wont end up winning. Am stayin positive! But either way we can definately expect a lot of improvement compared to last season.
