Honestly, I'd thought we'd already signed Forlan when I saw the pictures of Voronin.  Why not sign Robbie Savage too and complete the "separated at birth" reunion? :D (Just kidding, of course!)

If Forlan is the best we can get then we can kiss the title good bye.

I actually think Forlan is pretty good. i rather have him than owen or Milito.
He has a wonderful strike with both feet and a good eye for the ball.

But I guess I'll get killed for saying that since he's a former manure player...

but plz take a look at the goals here. Left foor, right foot, doesn't matter.

Looks like we have been looking at Ferrari's, while Rafa's having to see if he can get an M.o.t. for some old banger.

Disappointed if any of this is true.

And that arrogant posture some take with

just makes me sad.
Time to wake up and smell the coffee!

'kin hell, I know plenty who had perfectly plausible title expectations last season, and who will do this season. It's not unreasonable to harbour the belief that we can win the title.

As for "arrogant posture".

I haven't seen anyone on this forum advocating selling NO-ONE. At the very least people expect Gonzales to go, followed by Belllamy.

Where you get that idea from I don't know, but all those "arogantly postured" Liverpool fans in your area definitely need to get real.

ok, well I'd have no objection seeing him in a red shirt.
Best option from Spain anyway if you take away Eto'o who doesn't seem to be an option.

I'm not so warm on Bent with the price tag he's got.
I just can't see or hope Owen playing for us again.
Anelka has never been a favourite. Way to arrogant and full of himself.
Trezeguet would score goals, that's for sure.

Is the Forlan thing some kind of joke, after all the expectation surrounding TOP name players we could end up with Bent or Forlan or god forbid both !!

Give Rafa the money for the players he WANTS  and stop F.ucking about, im fed up of this s.hit

I would rather we spent a little less on the new stadium and gave Rafa the money for players

Discalimer= If any of this turns out not to be true and doesnt happen, and we do sign TOP players i take it all back :D

Look on the bright side, Cigs...they're still just transfer rumours and probably are no more plausible than anything else we've heard.  I, for one, don't believe any rumour until the signing is confirmed on .tv--if Forlan's or Bent's mugs end up on there, then we can start the moaning!  :D

It is a Big Disappointment to all of us If it seems that Rafa won't have the backing he really needs. I hope it's not all true I mean look what happened at Leeds Utd when Risdale promised their fans everything. Exactly! Although it may seem a bit drastic it can happen. And to be honest I'm sure that Mr Moores would've checked out our new owners thoughrally they've not exactly done anything so far other than talk the talk, bout time they tried to give Rafa what he needs and walk the walk too!
My mate called me today to say that they were having a laugh at our expense on Sky News this morning saying all the talk of us having a mass clearout is well short of the mark and it could actually be just one transfer in?? They seemed to find that funny? Well I bloody don't.

Like Bob said, nothing has actually happened yet.

As for the Leeds Utd comparison! It bears no resemblance to ours in any way.

People get ahead of themselves, nothing has happened. There has been plenty of rumour going round, nothing has been verified.
