No, that was Cheyrou...

I think that makes it worse! I could never tell them apart anyway. For months I thought we had a player called Bruno Le Tallec and another called Anthony Cheyrou!

I expected most from Cisse, but the award must go to Diouf because he was an a-class pile of wa.nk.

I went to Anfield the summer we signed that bunch of misfits. We were playing Lazio in a friendly. Bruno Cheyrou was amazing, narrowly missing a few efforts with his left and right feet. I whacked him in every Fantasy Team I was doing for that season. I thought he was going to be amazing for us.

diouf is a decent player... didnt get going for liverpool but has been a brilliant figure for bolton.. he wouldnt make it in a big club but still think he has good skills...

cisse came here and scored like no other striker did.... i give it the guy isnt the best footballer around but his scoring record is decent to say the least... was excited when he signed and still think hes a good goalscorer... not so lucky with injuries and has limited abilities...but he ets the job done..

Cheyrou...le tallec... diao... all been major dissapointments but cant honestly say i exected much from any of them... id say diouf was the biggest letdown

Think you have been mistaken...I have never heard any french guy saying Cherou could be anywhere near "the Next Zidane"...
Le Tallec and Pongolle were really young when they came in..Too young.
Since I'm from Lyon, I'd like to see what you think about Baros?
Amazing how people are divided about him...Even if had not much time too prove his value...

morientes for me... well known prolific forward...would of been in near superstar status at madrid  or spain if there werent the so many other big name players in the team.

nearly single handedly paved the way for As Monaco all go all the way in the 04 UCL.

and didnt we get him on a fee way lower than that of diouf's horrible 10m.?

I remember Pongolle & Le Tellac being the greatest prospects in European football. Neither made the grade here. Fans were saying it showed GH was better than Ferguson as Ferguson had spent about £12 on Ronaldo but these were cheaper and GH would mould them.

Stan Collymore tops my list (honourable mention to Dean Saunders)
