Kluivert - Dou you want him?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Ive seen him live in Barcelona in some Spanish league games and he oozes class but there is something about him that managers dont seem to like.  If Benitez reckons he can control him and motivate him we would have a world class player but can he?

I suppose Kluivert has some excess baggage with him in terms of his attitude. Otherwise, with his goalscoring record and obvious talent, many clubs will be queing for him especially now that he is on a free transfer.

Chances are he'll join the Dutch contingent at Borough!

patrick kluivert has done nothing in the past 18 months to suggest that he would make any kind of impact over here. we don't need him anyway.

He hates Nistleroy might want to prove a point get back in the Dutch team
The man is class just like a lot of Dutch players a bit bonkers

Hes also drinking in the last chance saloon

If he joins on our terms then get him but if its on his let Boro or Newcastle have him

Exactly, why would we need yet another striker when we have Euro 2004s golden boot winner, Owen (nuff said), Cisse (one of the most promising strikers around) and Sinama-Pongolle who will finally shine under a new boss.Kluivert is a disruptive influence and had a bad attitude, Diouf has already proven to be a flopp and Kluvivert isnt any better.

we dont need another striker as we already have three quality strikers and pongolle is coming through nicely, kluivert would just be a waste of wages

With all the rumours of buying another striker, Mista, Kluivert, I get the feeling that someone is on their way out of Anfield maybe??

Forget Kluivert.  It's a world class centre half and creative midfielder that we need.

"Creative Midfielder"? We have one...his name is Diouf. He can add to the statistics of "attempts" - just ask Hoiullier. He can "attempt" to dribble past 2 or more opponents (with or without success is not important as the statistics will show most "attempts"), "attempt" to pass, "attempt" to cross and "attempt" to shoot on goal....

Sorry, I have been very sarcastic.

Yes, we are in dire need of a competent creative midfielder and some quick defenders.

Dawson is still up for grabs at forest, he hasn't travelled to the states for there pre season tour on the pretence of a groin injury. The only problems with him are that he's unproven at a premiership level and Fat Joe Kinnear is asking for £5 million to much!

I personally have seen play on a number of occasions through work and he is a great prospect for any top flight club and England.
