Loan star Adam Hammill is hoping to use Saturday's Scottish Cup final as the stage to show he deserves a chance in the Liverpool side.
The skilful winger has enjoyed a successful six-month loan spell at Dunfermline after being allowed to go out on loan by Liverpool.
Hammill, who is highly regarded within the corridors of Anfield, has been earning rave reviews at East End Park and he has been instrumental in Dunfermline's shock passage to the Scottish Cup final.
The 19-year-old is set to return to Liverpool after this weekend's clash with Celtic and he is determined to make the breakthrough at Anfield next season.
"I am heading back to Liverpool and hopefully if all goes well I will get my chance in the first team," Hammill told skysports.com.
"My incentive is to show Liverpool that I am capable of making the breakthrough into the first team.
"There could be one or two players leaving and that could increase my chances of establishing myself.
"Liverpool have been keeping tabs on me at Dunfermline and I hope they have been impressed with how I have done."
Hammill is set to hold talks with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez in the summer to find out what his future holds and if he is unable to work his way into the Spaniard's plans he would be willing to go out on loan again.
"I am going to have talks with the manager to find out what my future holds," added Hammill. "I will respect whatever decision the manager makes.

I hope the lad does well today. I haven't watched him play since last years Youth Cup final where he show flashes of what he can do. He and Paul Anderson were instumental in that cup run last year, and by the sound of it, Hammill has built on that. I'm suprised tha club hasn't done the same with Anderson, due to the lack of matches at reserve level.
My only fear is that these young lads will get less of a chance with the big bucks set to do the talking at Anfield this summer.
Anyway, good luck for the final Adam.
