Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I can't even believe some people are actually discussing this. The thread was a joke let it die.

There's a flame going on here?

why?

The lad says that, which I disagree throroughly. But many posters have deemed our season as "hugely dissapointing" and some of them as "pathetic season" so, it's only coherent to think that if he keeps being "hugely dissapointing" he should be out of this great club. :)

I disagree Master completely, but as long as he doesn't insult nor taunt anybody, I don't think he deserves name calling, especially when many have deemed the season dissapointing. :p

I've always thought that Rafa has things to improve and that he's in the middle of the project that will put LFC in the place they deserve, league champions, and serious CL contenders. In the mean time I cannot find dissapointing what he has achieved until now, which doesn't mean he hasn't things to improve and he doesn't make mistakes.

In Rafa I trust.

Sabre, the guy is speculating that we will no longer be considered one of the 'Big three' if Rafa doesn't get it right next season.

Metalhead is right, who is this third team?

Arsenal?

A team we've finished above in successive seasons.

It's nonsense and is definitely not COHERENT as you put it.

I personally don't care what people consider the 'big three' or the big four or whatever, we are the most successful club in England, we will determine our own success in our own way, not based on soundbites from the media.

Yes you are, you always have been, and you'll always be.

Nonetheless, I'm proud of my humble tiny local club, judge, and I'll always have aswell LFC in my heart.

If he messes up next year again he does have to go he has all this cash now so no excuse plus 4 years on and only one good enough premiership season and IF he does screw up we won't be seen as a top 4 club anymore and everyone will go on about the 'BIG 3' again.

Money doesn't necessarily equal success you know.

IMO an FA Cup and 2 CL finals with one one is good going.
You can buy all the quality you like, but without desire, passion and the insatiable will to win, it’s nothing.

Would other top managers not have seen the mega mistake of playin the usless Zendon  and would they not have hauled him off and sent on Crouch   ... fact is fellas Rafa aint as good as you all seem to think  ... reading between the lines he may be on his way out .. if so we need a manager who knows what he is doing ... one who most def does maybe about to part company with his London club  ...

He's publicly backed by the new owners, and he's deciding the end of contracts (Zenden, Gonzalez) planning already next season.

I don't see how you're reading he's leaving between lines.

There's quite a lot of criticism in the press, so maybe Rafa has decided to be brutally honest rather than following the book of good coachs.

If he follows the book of good coachs, he'd never say his squad lacks quality as he has said. But then the press says he underachieved in the league, without a thorough analysis or comparisons between squads and what he spent this years, so he has been brutally honest now.

In any case, I don't see him leaving. And even less if the board makes real what they've promised him.

If you remove a midfielder, to put another striker, against a 5 men midfield, it means you're going to have danger in your goal and some counter attacks against.

In a counter attack, I'd rather keep the midfielder that hasn't got a yellow card and can choose to make a "professional foul" than the midfielder that has a yellow.

If neither of the midfielders had a yellow, I'd agree with you (and if neither of them are knackered), but Mascherano had a yellow.

(takes a deep breath)

I could go into detail and tell you exactly why Rafa loves it here and how he is building for a long glorious future backing it up with stats and facts.

Or

I could just call you an bumhole for even suggesting Rafa wants to go.,

I've voted.

You are an bumhole. :D
