I'm heart broken but life goes on mate, as a team we will build during the summer and do it all again next season. Personally I feel a bit peeved today but thats life. :)

Bitters being TWATS

I run a work forum for our companies workers and I got in to see all the bitters and the mancs being tits.

Here was my reply:

Still gutted from last night. I had a lot more confidence in the team this year compared to 2005 and I genuinely thought we were going to win it. Maybe thats our downfall, we never seem to win when we are meant to and always seem to do the impossible when we shouldn't be allowed to.

From the moment the game kicked off we had the better play with the ball. Pennant went through, Gerrard went through, Xabi missed the bottom corner and Milan did not do anything of any note up until the 44th minute.

Kaka, who contary to popular belief was NOT in Maschereno's pocket all game, went down and won the freekick for Pirlo to hit which took the lucky deflection off Inzaghi, but thats football. Kaka also for me showed why he was the best player on the park last night with this, his pefect through ball for the second, his lovely run where he was wrongly called offside and his general play. His passing is awesome. He was a star last night in a mediocre Milan side.

Once the first goal went in, my heart sank. The old familar story of not scoring goals was going to come back to haunt us.

After the second, it was a formality. I walked out but had to go back for my mobile. I seen our goal and thought maybe but it wasn't to be. The ref did blow up 30 seconds early but we were good enough over the 90 mins.

I could pick holes in Rafa's tactics, team selection, use of Gerrard, use of substitions but whats the point, he went out and got us there doing things his way. Rafa's the gaffer and the best we had have in these regions for a while.

Milan won and they derserved their victory.

Roll on next season, another season of highs and lows for Liverpool fans with surely after the all the talk from Gilett and Hicks, a proper go at the league and the champions league again. The summers going to be very interesting and I'm sure lots of big names will want to play for the only team in Liverpool (sooner the better). And another season of mediocrity for the bitters across the park. There are back in Europe ya know, sure they won't be travelling to the likes of Barcelona, Athens and Chelsea away, but who needs that when they have FC Haka of Finland, Vikings of Norway and those European giants Bolton!

Its nice to see our Liverpool sections has been inudated with posts from the bitters and the manc alike. I think our section has been more popular today with the bitters than theirs has all season. 12 new posts overnight, well done. Its just confirmed what every Liverpool fan knows, its what WE are doing , Liverpool, that matters most to then.

Waiting for my brothers to get home from Athens today.  Feel absolutely sick for them, more than how I'm feeling for myself.  They're going to be a lot more upset than I am, I'm sure.

Last night I was in Mathew Street in Liverpool city centre after the game and our fans congregated there singing YNWA.  Was a pretty amazing sight.  I joined in but I then went and had a drink in this pub and halfway through, I said to my mate that my night was over.  I had every intention before the game (win or lose) of not even going home last night.  I felt like I'd been kicked in the balls though.  So I left my pint half drank and just walked out.

Got a young lady friend to come and pick me up from Town and we went for a drive for a bit.  Cleared my head, just wanted to get away from it all.  Some dealt with it by partying into the night no doubt, and for what it's worth, it looked like an amazing atmosphere.  I'd drank about ten pints before and during the game last night and I felt stone cold sober and just knew that my night was over.

I've every faith that we'll win this Cup again soon though.

too right rafa-dodd, its amazing how many mancs and chavs start to go on when we lose, are they really fans or just liverpool haters?, they want to celebrate our demise more than their success and even when they win something they'll always brag about it to us (well thats my experience anyway)

When the light first hit my eyes, and the first spark of consciousness woke me, the very first thing on my mind felt like ther was an anchor in my f'ckin head. That f'ckin goal that deflected in was the first image that my mind's eye kept playing, and playing in a half-sleep state. The anchor was the realisation that this was no dream or nightmare, but memory of the night before. I couldn't lift my head. It was too heavy.

Im confident that we'll make the final again next season. Confident that we'll either be close in the league or have won it. Confident that every sorry sack of dog sh*t that has gave me abuse, or is about to give me abuse, will get it back ten fold when we rise from the ashes to glory once again. C*nts!

Still don't feel right. Couldn't sleep after the game, just came to the forum and some posts here kind of lifted me a little bit up. Then had to go to work, and the reactions of my colleagues really suprised me and made me feel kind of warm. They are all Milan supporters for this game, not necessarily Milan fans, but they just thought Milan is stronger and made their choices. At first I had prepared to put up with their boasting about their victory. But suprisingly they just never did that. Instead, they were quiet and trying their best not to mention the game before me, knowing that I would be annoyed. Thanks to their understanding, I could strengthen myself up to give my congratulations to them. And they gave me their consolations. Though it didn't lessen my pain, it did do some positive effect on me.
Now I'm still gutted, and I know it's gonna last a long while, but I can handle now.  :(

I know a few bitters and I have been flatly refusing to talk about the game to them because i feel that as they have never even got to the final and never will they do not deserve and are unworthy of my attention.  :)
