Man United fan in peace!

I am Fu*cking disgusted by mucsesuocs and his pathetic posts!
The one about LFC fans killing people is SICK!!!

Fortunately we are not all like him, and although there is a great rivalry between our clubs and things can get a bit heated, i believe there is also mutual respect!
In a lot of ways we are not unlike each other, what with the tragedies etc!

I would just like to offer my condolences on losing the CL tonight!
You were the better team tonight by far IMO and didn't deserve that!
lets hope for a good old tussle come August! ( Without the idiots like mucsesuocs )

It's okay.  I banned the fucker.

Thought we were the better side overall tonight, Milan were fucking woeful for a team who are crowned European Champions tonight.

But maybe a little bit of Karma.  Maybe the best side lost two years ago.

Can hold our heads up high tonight I think as Liverpool supporters.

As much as I hate to say this to a manc,

Cheers mate, nice to see some common sense prevailing instead of these eejits that insist on causing aggro.

Sometimes I dont understand Benitez. He had the right formation yet, I dont understand why he would use Kuyt as a lone striker. Im not saying he is a bad striker, but in this particular game, he was the only striker who would never cause a real threat. Bellamy has pace which would have caused problems to Maldini and Nesta while Crouch is always difficult to defend against because of his size. Even Fowler would have been more of a threat. Crouch should have started, or at should have come in right after half time, not with only 15 minutes to go in the game.

Zenden was awful today and Kewell did not improve our game on the left side. Riise might have been a better option on the left yet he was needed as a left back (having Aurelio for this game would have made a gigantic difference). Other than that, the team looked good in all areas, I was actually pleased with Pennant. He would've been even better if Crouch had played as he was constantly crossing the ball in the box, yet there was no one to receive it. Mascherano made Kaka look ordinary, man of the match IMO.

Now for the possitives:
-Kewell did not get injured (thats always a plus).
-We made another good top team look ordinary, outplayed them in every part of the field and, once again, only missed the finishing touch to win the game (just like in the game against the mancs).
-By loosing the final, the new owners must have noticed there is something missing in the team and will help Benitez get that world class striker we so badly need.

Just to expand on the last positive I gave, Hicks and Gillette are businessmen. They know that if they want to make a profit with the club, they have to meet the laws of supply and demand. In this case, what fans and general global audience demand is victories. If they want to sell the team to the world (merchandise) they have to supply a winning team. Now that we lost the final, they know they have a "defective" product which they need to improve to be able to sell globaly.

Finally, congratulations to Milan. I dont think they deserved to win but they did. They took advantage of the chances they had where as we did not. As I see it, this is only half time and both teams are 1-1. Hopefully we will meet them in the final again next year (or some year soon) and see who is the best 2 out of 3 :D .

There was no shame in Liverpool's performance, and not a sinlge piece of dirty cynical play.

Liverpool were the better team but Milan got the goals. Football can be like that.

P.S. We never match fix either.

Fair play to the sensible Milan fans who have come on here, ditto the Man U fan and cheers for the sentiments. I thought we were much the better team on the night, but we probably got the rub last time so thems the breaks. Onwards and upwards, it just shows that we are in fact a very good side when you look at what they did to Man U in the semi, and we were on top for muxch of the match tonight. Top effort from the lads, and absolutely spot on from a tactical point of view from the grand master of European football.

ok a few points, its obvious what the problems were last night, well the two major problems and they are so glaringly obvious it would be pointless for anyone to disagree.

number one, too many times this season we have dominated matches only to come away with nothing, so wher does that fault lie with that? we need a goalscorer, its really that simple, we need someone who is prolific, last night we didnt have that on the pitch or on the bench. kuyt is a joke, milan must have been made up when they saw his as the lone striker, the one forward we possess that will cause them the least problems. crouch would have caused them problems, bellamy would have caused them problems, kuyt just runs around a lot with no real outcome for his effort. anyway lets hope this problem is solved in the summer

number two is rafa, yes folks rafa is not the tactical genius you all think he is, yes he is good but he is far from great. lets take last night for example, its obvious we need to change in order to get something, he brings kewell on for zenden (who shouldnt have even been on the pitch to start with), then he waits until 12 minutes from the end to add another striker, wtf is he thinking? rafa that tops this substituting masterstroke by bringing on arbeloa  ???   we needed to score an he brings on arbeloa rather that bellamy to run at their forwards hopefully causing panic.

i watched their defence last night and they were a joke, seriously they were a joke and we did nothing about it, we let them get away with it because rafa let it too late again. what is his problem with changing things during a game, sure we were creating a few chances but he just perseveres in the hope that we will score with what we have , rather that changing it slightly, our top scorer sat on the bench until 12 minutes from the end, the one guy who could have realy caused panic their defence when crosses come in, so he brings kewell on and he is supposed to cross to who exactly?  kuyt? give me a break.

anyway next season has to be better than this very very poor season, lets not dress it up as anything other than poor, i want to get back to enjoying watching my team rather than cringing at every long ball pumped froward or frowning at yet another missed chance because we dont have a goalscorer.

i dont care what he has done to us, we should be on the phone to metal mickey, 9 million is a snip, at least he knows where the goal is.

sad sad night guys, it was there for the taking and we never took it, we let them take it.

now the early finish to the game, yes he blew a bit early, in fact a substitution was made in injury time to there should have been another 30 seconds in my opinion, so we were robbed of a minute, but we shouldnt have even been worrying by that stage, we should have been celebrating.

anyway angry at the moment, also proud that the players on the pitch did their best and sad thet the players were also let down by a lack of any real goalscorer on the pitch.

rafa get you finger out and get this sorted, no more excuse, no more sh1t performances,

put a f##king sock in it mate, rafa benitez sent out a side with a gameplan that totally owned milan when most of the so called experts in the press thought milan would dominate the game.
we did nothing wrong, things like that happen in footy.
now is not the time to point fingers, i know your a scouser living abroad but have you been away so f##king long that you forgot rule number 1 in the scouser handbook which is that we put up the baricades in times of trouble.
you can find fault in anything if you try hard enough.

ah yes ok, we were brilliant, there is nothing wrong. we dont need a goalscorer, we can manage just fine as we are. and rafa is a genius, the way he dosnt have the abilty to change things is a beyond genius

its that mentality that ensures we are failing.

my opinions, if you dont like them i dont really care, i will say it as it really is rather than gloss over another pathetic season.
