Benitez has been in the job now for a couple of weeks, is there any sign of him buying or selling players?

Jose Mourhinio at Chelsea has already made swift moves with his squad, Ie; Haselbaink, Melchiot, and soon Gronkjaer and Veron.

I think he should try and restore some confidence sooner rather than later. He must know he has money to spend, and possible players in mind, both ways.

The thing is that Beni has not had proper time with the players, He cannot reasonably disregard anybody without having a proper look.
Even though us the fans know who should be gone but at the end of the day Beni has to decide.

Probably take some players on loan untill the window opens again and his players are up for the picking.

Mourino will spend like a stupid idiot just because he can but will his team be balanced or will he just cram it full of players just for the sake of it???

Progress doesn't have to include instantaneous buy and sells.
To be honest, I like the fact he's not got carried away too quick. We spent 10Mill for Diuof, so lets give Rafa  a chance to recover the $$ by trade, or maybe, just maybe, turn the Dork into a real striker.
That goes for all the lack lustre performers.

What about sending Cheyrou back to France, convinced Gerrard to stay put and making Diouf wanting a second chance to impress?

Confidence building don't necessary mean lots of buying and selling. RB don't have the strict instruction to spend and spend unlike Maurinho. He wanted time to assess the team so let's give it to him.

Have no doubt than another 2~3 players will be joining soon while the deadwood will be tossed out sooner than you can imagine.

Well if you read the facts properly, Cheyrou decided he wanted to go to marseille, and was not pushed by Benitez. He said he gave himself 2 years in the premiership to impress then he would decide, and I think he saw because Houllier was not there anymore, he would never get in the team. He wasnt anyway. so he left by his own choice

I know the players dont report back until later in july, but so must it makes you wonder why Mourhinio is acting so swiftly?

Do you think he is soo cocky he swill just chop and change without getting to know there players>?
must be, he was only in charge of a a bunch on non-world class players at porto. (Deco is not the new Zidane!). I hope he falls flat on his face the cocky t**t.

Our Boss will do what's right for LFC.. he certainly won't take his lead from that arrogant tw*t Mour***(can't be bothered to spell his name) and neither should you compare us to those historyless, lottery winners..or "new money" as some would call them.

No club side in the world has the money that Chelsea do so ignore them.  To place importance on them is ludicrous.. they are not the benchmark Arsenal are! .. besides they havn't made any fanstastic signings.. we've signed one of the best strickers in the world Cisse.. be proud .. and for goodness sake have faith.. the squad ain't bad it just needs to be steered in the right direction .. if Mr Benitez can't do it then we're doomed because I don't no who else could???

He will succeed.. and then well all be

I agree with hustler.

Lets go out and spend stupid on money on players without knowing if they will fit our system and without knowing which ones we're going to use and in what way.

Spending stupid money on players is the only way to garentee success. Assessing the bad from the good and potential from the talentless won't get you anywhere in life. You also can't build on Houlliers good work as Kewell, Owen, Hyypia, Gerrard, Riise, Finnan, Carragher, Henchoz, Hamann, Cisse, Baros etc etc etc all have no talent and are all rubbish and not as good as thehustler.

Spend spend spend!!!
