Of the list I'd be between Owen, Huntelaar and Tevez. Oscar Cardozo would be interesting, yet at this point I think we need someone who is proven in England. I would be more inclined toward Tevez since I've rated him very highly since he's been in Boca and he managed to win his place in West Ham. Also, having in mind how Mascherano did not even make it in West Ham and how great he is doing in Liverpool, just imagine what Benitez would do with Tevez :D. My next choice would be Huntelaar. Ive said enough of him in other posts, he is a natural finisher. Owen I'd love to have back, its the injuries that worry me. Right now he is sort of like Kewell, when fit there are few others that could match them but are always on the sidelines.

Finally, I just wonder what people would think of getting Claudio Pizarro from Bayern Munich. He will be leaving Bayern at the end of the season, so we could get him on a free.

£18m is a lot for Huntelaar, £18m is a lot for any player that isn't proven at the highest level. A figure of £10m is a more realistic valuation for a player like Huntelaar.

£18m is way too much of a risk for someone like him.

Tevez would be awesome. Owen would be a great piece of business but I hate that :censored:.

Torres would be a huge misstake, way to expensive for his suckiness.

buy one very experienced striker (proven), e.g roy makaay(12m?), van nistlerooy(10m?), henry(15m?), raul(12m?), inzaghi(6m?), klose(12m?), berbatov(20m?)

and buy one young striker -tevez(20m), huntlear(15m?), podolski(15m?), bent(12m?)

personally i'd go for tevez and makaay - roughly 25-35m - guaranteed goals and with selling a few fringe players we could still afford a quality winger

Im not sure about Klose, there's just something about him which puts me off.

Yeah, he's clumbsy and his possitioning is p*ss poor at times.

Looking at that list, it's probably essential that we go for Tevez for next season. He's expensive, but nowhere near as the other top-end ones, and if we're looking our own Rooney (or better) he's the one we should be firing for. Owen looks like a snip at that price, but that salary is ridiculous, plus he's too injury prone now these days. I'd avoid.

I would love Owen to come back but i just dont think he is the type of player Rafa wants in his team. Owen likes to play off the shoulder, and dosnt work as much as Kuyt. I'm not taking away his quality but just saying going by Rafa's previous signings, he prefers his strikers to come back and work hard, and Owen isnt that type of player.
I also dont think he'll come back after not only leaving in 2004, but rejecting us in 2005. I dont think Rafa wants him anymore after 1st leaving us and then rejecting us in favour of Newcastle.

As for his injury problems, i dont think that would be a worry. He's had plenty of injuries before and recovered, plus we have a good fitness and physio team to look after injured players.

Overall i just dont think Rafa is interested in him, but anything could happen, who'd ever thought Robbie Fowler would grace the hollow Anfield turf and wear his No. 9 shirt again eh?

I really like Tevez's style of play.  Like the article suggested, he would definitely be a favorite at Anfield.  Plus, he's played a whole year of Premiership and has adapted well.  Tevez for around 15 million would be a great bargain.

Villa and Etoo for me are the best of the list for Liverpool and Torres would be the worst choice is overrated by the spanish press
